I am entranced by the fact that this dude had each member of the family individually come to the exact same conclusion about the plug in the boat, yet was so trusting in the universe that it was a one-off, that he wasn't willing to do anything to stop them.
I'm losing my mind at the fact that they all say it the same way.

Dude I really felt for Arin on that Boat game. I could hear him clicking rapidly and knowing how hard that game was.
It's easier than he makes it out to be though, you can move around to avoid obstacles, including the old guy. Just tap the DPad.

In the original Japanese release, apparently there was a minigame for the karaoke part. It was removed from localized versions, because it relied heavily on kanji. Or that's what the internet says anyway
I believe the mom also had a cut kanji mini game after she falls in the skiing game
You are right. There is a cut karaoke game that had three songs. It is on the Japanese version. There is also a bomb game with the dad after the villian cuts the subway brake lines.
I just searched "incredible crisis karaoke" in another UA-cam tab and it's the first result. An 11 years old video with all the cut games.

@@bluesmcgroove I'm barely paying attention but it's clear to see. The more water is out of the boat, the faster it goes, the closer the distance to shore becomes.
Also does the umbrella not work when that guy falls on you? I swear he did it in the older level, and then didn't in this last one and it worked fine. Maybe I'm wrong.

I love how they started doing Long Series Saturday, which then extended to the entire weekend, but then they also did all of Incredible Crisis and most of Peppa Pig during the week, so it's almost like they're just doing all long series now. Exactly what I like to see!

Dan is right, the point IS that everything led to grandma having an amazing birthday despite losing her husband the year prior. The crisis of just making the normal happen is the struggle that we all endure and this game encapsulates that perfectly. Glad you played this game!
This was probably the best mini-series since Battle Construction Vehicles.

@@Noah-wx7fm the counter isn't counting time, but distance remaining to the goal. It was the same in the other levels too. I guess a lot of viewers never noticed either...

A cute touch at the end with the family pictures is that we see 'grandpa' in 1997 alive. but passed away and the father is holding his funeral picture in 1998 to still include him.
It's also probably why the grandmother is there.
I wish the villain's had more story, but the pictures are cute.

Does anyone know the origin of Japanese teachers throwing chalk at sleeping students? You see it in anime all the time, and it appears to be an exclusively Japanese gag. Is there any basis for it in real life?
It's not just Japan. Isolated incident, but my physics professor threw chalk at me when I started falling asleep in class (we were chill lmao).
There’s also a scene in one of the Harry Potter movies where mad eye moody throws chalk at a kid while teaching a class

There's also an arcade version of this game, "Tondemo Crisis." It's playable in MAME, but it's only in Japanese. It has all the levels, though.

Just so ya know, the seconds in the boat game were how far/close you are to the goal. Also, I loved how the dad, the son, and the daughter pulled the peg out of the boat and made it get full of water.

Those "seconds" during the boat game are meters. You start 1000 units away from your goal, 1000 meters in a kilometer, not to mention the number slows down and speeds up depending on how quickly the boat moves.
23:35 It isn't seconds left in the game, it's meters to the end. When you stop bailing water the boat slows down, so you're traveling slower, so the meters go down slower
I never thought I'd see this game again after Arin and Jon played it years ago. Happy to see odd games like this aren't off the table! If they revisited another game from back then, I'd love to see what Dan thinks of Stretch Panic.

As somebody who bought this game when it first came out, the third time Titanic came up I laughed my ass off in that kind of bugs bunny way where he starts crying.
But by that point I got the muscle memory to the game down pat. It's the kind of joke you find in the same school of Japanese humor as Downtown's 24hr Batsu Games.

I’m not even playing this game and I can still feel Arin’s pain. KH2 has a QTE/Reaction Command where you repeatedly press Triangle and X at the same time to block lasers for what feels like a minute. It’s a cool animation, but if you’re playing it on Critical Mode, you can say goodbye to your fingers.

It isn't counting down seconds on the boat game, It's counting down distance. Thats why it slows down when the boat isn't moving.
