- Join us as we spend the day exploring Koh Rong Island via motorbike and also a boat tour. We visit Long Beach and Sok San beach which has the whitest sand and crystal clear water, and get to see plenty of fish and coral while we snorkel around the tiny island called Kaoh Toch. This is a beautiful slice of paradise in the south of Cambodia worth visiting!

Sok San Beach there for 3 days December 23 it was ok wouldn't want to stay longer.
We came across some other travellers that went to sok san and ended up staying and living there. Some people love it, some get over it fast.
Just spent 7 nights on Koh Rong. The nicest place to stay is the 'secret garden resort' on Pagoda beach.
Now onto the general cleanliness of the island. Most of the beaches are very clean except for Pagoda beach which is complete crap except for the beach directly in front of the 'secret garden resort'. All of the accommodation that we saw was very very poor value for money especially 'long beach' as the resort just off from where you were filming was really run down. Prices are really high on the island and definitely not justified. The food in general was poor, high price low effort. Garbage was everywhere on the island, the Cambodians just don't care. I have been visiting Cambodia since 2008, 5 trips in total adding up to 18 weeks in total.

There is a sewage right where you are standing in the video. I have been there in June and honestly, that little town where the ferries arrive is one of the most polluted beach ever seen! Other than that, nice video👍

It wasn't too badly poluted where the ferry's were this time around, may have done a clean up since. We did find one beach just before long beach that was highly poluted though, which is such a shame because it's so beautiful there.

It was nice and quiet with not many tourists while we were there. High season is starting to approach, so over the next couple weeks I assume it will start getting alot more busier.

Not 100% sure what it was called. It was a tour that was sold at the harbour to everyone. It was just the basic tour that they all sell just different boats. All the boats anchor next to each other and each spot.
Whats the nightlife like in koh toch ? staying at Nest in a few weeks

When we went it was really really quiet. But I’ve been before a couple years ago and nightlife was great! Nice island party vibes with bars on the beach.

We just went to the island without booking anything. We checked out what rooms were available when we got there to see in person what we wanted. Probably can't do it that way when it gets really busy though. We stayed at a place called smiles hotel I think it was.

No video of glowing planktons ?
Tried to get footage but it was just too dark to see anything meaningful. It was amazing though getting in the water in the pitch black, putting your head under and seeing the glowing plankton as you waves your hands through the water.
Why would anyone go that far just to look at yet ANOTHER statue of Buddha?
Be careful when you are in Cambodia since there has been numerous cases of kidnapping of foreign tourists for ransoms.
We try be careful where ever we go. But we never felt unsafe in Cambodia. But it’s good to always keep it in your mind that it does happen.
Cambodia belongs to Thailand!!! All Khmer people are anxiously waiting for the return of the true king of their land - Thai King!!!

No guys, this is not Koh Rong. It *was* real Koh Rong 12 years ago with no scooters, and you had to walk through real jungles to get to the Long Beach, which was totally INHABITED. We swimmed naked there half-day. There were no beton-paved roads, no road lights, and 5 times as less people. And sparkling plankton was just at every beach every night - for free. They commercialized the nicest Cambodian island. Disgusting. 🤮
I was also in Koh Rong back in 2014 as well, and it was a big difference between 2014 and this time. I can only imagine how different it was 12 years ago.
Why you don’t stay there and earn local wages and still do UA-cam?

For me, honestly the island is not really beautiful compare to Thailand or Philippines Island
