  • Santa Fe Police Officer Gets First Pitch
    For Pitching In..
Santa Fe, NM - Santa Fe Police Officer Jacob Parrish threw out the first pitch in the Sunday, May 15th
baseball game between the Albuquerque Isotopes and the Round Rock Express. It was to honor Parrish for
going above and beyond the call of duty by helping an Oklahoma family traveling through Santa Fe who fell
into some hard luck last week.
The family’s van broke down in Santa Fe as they traveled to a new job in another state. They had no money
to fix the vehicle and cash was tight for food and a place to stay. Officer Parrish aided the family by
finding them services in Santa Fe for food, new clothing for their teenage daughters and shelter for a few
evenings at the Motel 6. Officer Parrish also helped find money and resources to provide a bus ride for the family to
Colorado Springs, Colorado where the father has been promised a job.
