Ivan Mendez was Angelina's ( 12y) guitarist in LA in 2018. In an interview with Alan Papier on his UA-cam channel, Ivan shared the story behind the cover's creation. In short “Angelina doesn't have a wish list of songs, she spontaneously decides whether she likes a song. After hearing this song she says great song and downloaded the lyrics. Ivan admitted that he didn't know this song but the melody wasn't difficult and was able to learn it quickly. “. Then the cover was recorded in one take, Angelina sang the song here for the first time according to her arrangement, without rehearsing beforehand. 💯 AJ 💯
Isn't that amazing Albert? You would have thought she rehearsed this song for days the way this incredibly moving recording turned out.
Wow I did not know this, that is incredible. Among all she has made this is one of my favourite covers fom her. To learn they never rehearsed seems impossible, just wow!! Love her and Ivan together.

Unreal, how a 12 year old can present and feel this song, which could be related to a 60 year old. Many people say, she's got an old soul. Anyway, Adele wrote it very young too. This song is one of my favourites of Angelina and will ever be. Saw, how she read the lyrics? This was a session and they just picked up this song, Angelina said to Ivan" just follow me", they tried once and then did this in one take.

I relate to your reaction, Sarah. Angelina sings with such emotional authenticity, I often shed a tear or two while listening to her.
This is the very first song I ever heard from Angelina three or four years ago. I was astonished that a girl of that age was able to elicit the kind of emotion that she does. It is an adult themed topic being interpreted by a 12 year old girl as if she had lived it. Just remarkable.

Fantastic reaction, a Musical Genius and was 12 in this! She is self taught, thank God her teachers were wise enough not to try to teach her techniques. At 4 years old her technical knowledge was already above theirs, they taught her how to protect her voice and theory. Keep enjoying this gift to us from God, God Bless!

Sarah, I really enjoy your reactions to Angelina because I feel the same emotional response. But beyond that, this song is very special, even for Angelina. I believe she is 10 for this performance. When I heard this the first time, I realized that Angelina was not just the best child singer I’d ever heard, but she was actually the best singer I’d ever heard. Her voice is unique-in the true definition of that word. No one sounds like Angelina. And on top of that, she interprets and delivers lyrics like no one else. Adele make you feel her own passion. Angelina brings you along with her, and you’re living the lyrics with her, remembering your own missed opportunities and regrets. This song was a game changer for me, and I still feel the emotional power after hearing it hundred of times.

Angelina taught herself to sing. She seems able to sing directly from her soul to our soul. I think it is singing on a different level than any I have heard in my 63 years. Andy I support your comments regarding supporting the artist. Having the links is fantastic. But they do no good unless the viewers utilize them to like comment and subscribe to the artist videos and channels. Educating them to do that means they will also know to do the same for the reactor channel. It's a win-win.
