While I love all of Will's music, new and old, there is definitely merits to both periods of his work. His old stuff is experimental and messy, but it works with the emotions and themes he was getting across. In his newer work, the production is crisper and the vocals and harmonies are so much more hard hitting. But there's a clear loss/lack of emotion in the newer work that made his previous stuff so cathartic to listen to. I like both periods, but I can understand both sides of the preference, how someone can like the new stuff and hate the old stuff, and how someone can like the old stuff snd hate the new stuff. I just personally enjoy seeing Will grow as a musician, and I can spaz the fuck out to The Ballad of the Costa Concordia just as much as I can to Boxing Day. Anyway, rant over. Funny video.
