    Mini skirts or denim skirts would be my top pick for the next one! Or wide leg trousers/culottes (“covered up” options for hot weather type thing). I think I really want both the Topshop and the UO dresses...

    Considering the urban outfitters dress being inspired by Isabel Marant, do you think you could do a testing basics with dupes? It’s kind of like a “is it worth it to buy the high end over the high Street version of the same piece”? Are there enough dupes to do that? Just a thought :) I’m all about dresses this summer, and loves this TB!

    Absolutely adore the green dress you're wearing at the end! That color looks so lovely on you. Would you ever consider doing a testing basics of every day jewelry? I love your usual simple necklaces and earrings, it would be nice to see what kind of products you find at different price points that won't tarnish or damage easily.

    Hi Lizzy! Could you do a testing basics for Camis? It’s so difficult to find the right ones when one is a bit heavy chested. Also please please do a bag collection with reviews video 🙏 you have such a cool selection from what I see in pictures and past videos. Would love to see it all in one video. 😊 xx

    I love the Staud dress, but for the price I'd expect it to be 100% linen and the finishings a better quality. The Topshop one is cute and the actual length of the dress isn't too bad, but that slit is very high. Could maybe do with another button. Not sure I would consider the Jacquemus a basic, though absolutely gorgeous! Just an idea for future videos that are based on type of fabric...maybe consider having a minimum percentage (45-50%). That Warehouse dress, though cute, is more a viscose dress than linen with only 9%. That's like calling a pizza pepperoni when it only has one slice of pepperoni! Great job on the video, though!

      Lara M Try Reformation or Frank and Oak, its a Canadian brand and it is kind of expensive, but all sustainable brands are expensive. Otherwise i dont really know "cute" sustainable brands

    • @miyounova

      Go for second hand. Even sustainable brands can't beat second hand as they still create a demand for more resources.

    • @Mcelle100
      @Mcelle100 5 років тому

      yeah i do like to shop second hand, but where i live it's really not a thing so the few thrift shops are kinda terrible or super overpriced so it's hard :( also i just wish "influencers" would do videos, just sometimes, like the one i suggested, instead of advertising brands that are not even remotely ethical and sustainable, you know?

    love the video as always. I would love a testing basics on little black dresses. Simple black dresses that would work on many occassions - day and night. I really love your h&m dress that you wore a lot last summer. I have been looking hard to find a good black dress that would do both day and night, little bit smart and little bit casual like yours, but havent been in a good luck. two dress videos might not be the best, but maybe for later. thanks for awesome videos as always.

    Hi Lizzy, just a thought: Is it maybe possible to button the Jacquemus first and then put it on? I imagine this would work if you pull it over you head, no? And maybe even if you put it on by stepping into it, pulling it up and putting your right arm through the strap like a sleeve.

    The topshop one is quite revealing because for such a short dress having on opening in the crotch area is a little bit too much, underwear is on show unless you specifically go for the look, though love the short length on you but do not think it fits better than the staud one. Looks more like a cami then a dress. It is just cheaper. And decorative element can be stitched in easily but it is a shame again for so much money but easily fixed.

    Found this really valuable, thank you. Where I live in Australia, we're pretty much guaranteed Summers often way over 30 degrees, so it's good to know whether it's worth investing in linen as so much wear could be gotten from it. Also, please don't apologise about the open window - I'm a Brit and I really miss London noises!

    I'm way behind on your channel thanks to work (just quit a toxic job) and am just now catching up but I love the idea of doing mini skirts or even tailored shorts, like the ones from your Amazon Fashion video. If you do mini skirts would love to see at least one denim option in there! I don't even wear mini skirts because they don't suit my figure at all but they look so good on you 😂
    Just thought of this and idk how interested in this idea you would be but it would be nice if for one of your testing basics you did size inclusive brands, like that was the testing basics: size inclusive brands. I love your style but can't purchase hardly any of your recs because the brands are not size inclusive and I'm rather full figured. Just some food for thought!

    I don't think you should have included the Warehouse one since it had only 9% linen, it defeat the purpose, especially considering you can get 100% linen for similar prices. A bit of critism on your choice of items. Also for the Jaquemus could be considered more a fashion/trend piece, rather than a basic.

  • @skyscope8409
    @skyscope8409 5 років тому +2

    There are a lot of 100% linen dresses at much more affordable price point (under $100). I think you should do more research, otherwise you're missing the most important range (mid price) in your testing basics. I think the most expensive dress choice is a fail as it's pretty impractical design, the price tag suggests high end occasion but contradicts to the nature and functionality of the material, so there is no representation of this type of purchase.
