1 of the best games Ive played since long
nearly everything in this game is perfect
the beautiful music & art style visuals, the puzzles are rly fun and challenging
yet very fair, the skills and battles are cool
even when you thought the game is gonna end, it keeps going and the
later levels are epic ye I said it EPIC! lol
I highly recommened this game to anyone who hasnt had the chance playing it yet
forget watch dogs and any other upcoming AAA title
trine 2 is where its at :)
Miss you TB. People like you needs at these time more than ever. :(
there's a 3-pack on steam right now for 3.99. Worth it.
RIP. Its 2022 and your still missed'
God I love Frostbite!
A freaking beautiful game, with nice mechanics, a good story, great multiplayer, and it's on EVERYTHING!
Frostbite and Wolfire (How ironic) are now officially the best indie developers in the world.
its my birthday today and watching this feels like i just got a birthday present :D for an indie game this is just amazing. i'm definitely getting this game! hats off to frozenbyte!
@TotalHalibut I personally like it because of the dynamic between you and Jessee, it's so goddamn hilarious from time to time, like when he blew himself up with dynamite, and your fantastic reaction (hysterical laughter). It's not why I watch your channel, but it makes for the nice distraction from time to time.
@TotalHalibut I think your personalities combined make something much better than most other LP's.
That, is why we like it so much.
$1.99 USD on Steam RIGHT NOW!
I got it, did you?
Today it is the same!
@TotalHalibut its because the hilarity contents are awesome, ppl love to see 2 ppl play a game, not being serious 24/7 and just have fun. may just be junk food content, ppl rly love u for it.
i dont post them playthrough comments though, so no hating ;P
lots of love
@TotalHalibut I find things like your Terraria playthrough really nice to listen to in the background while i work :)
Its nice to finally hear from you again, TB.
@CakeThe45 I am on holiday, for the millionth time. That means I have my laptop with me, not my desktop. Serious Sam has a hefty engine, my laptop won't be suitable for recording it and the stuff I recorded before I left is quite frankly bad and shoudn't be put online.
@TotalHalibut Mainly because it's fun to watch the chemistry between you two, no matter what the game actually is.
TotalBiscuit seems to be gaining 50,000 subscribers on a monthly basis based upon his 500,000 recent cap, which was about a month ago. TotalBiscuit is now at 548,000 subscribers. This means that in 9 months he will be at 1 million subscribers. In a few years at this steady increase in subscribers, and with his successful Terrarria episodes, and perhaps another successful Pandaria-Beta endeavor, he will be at 4 million[hopefully]subscribers and become the most subscribed UA-cam partner.
There have been quite a few games where Ive thought "I want that game" but this..... I NEED this game. You mentioned it many times, and Im sure you probably wanted to say it even more... its BEAUTIFUL. I have NEVER seen a game that looks better. When I saw it had co-op it just sealed the deal for me, really.
Thanks for this TB. I've been looking forward to this game since it's announcement! The first one was so fun.
Something about this game feels so nostalgic. I can't quite put my finger on it, but there's something about the thing that makes me feel like I did playing a new game on a Christmas afternoon in the PS2 days.
@BFR579 you seem to like 2d platform games, can you give me a list of your faves?i have played limbo, bionic commando rearmed, the original trine and a few others, but i would like to know if their are better than these for the pc
Wonderful art design and graphics. Hard to tell where the background begins and the foreground ends. Looks like they had some talented people work on this. Didnt notice anything real bad going on in this beta version, they couldn't have a whole lot left to do if they were showing it at this stage. Unless the later levels aren't as polished.
the water effects are beyond gorgeous. i can't even think of a word to describe it. i must play this game.
I keep watching this over and over, its just THAT sweet.
@SuperDoctor16 simplest way to think about it: when you are playing the game your computer doesn't know what image it will have to produce until you do something, which means it needs to be able to render it very fast. With a video this issue never arises because the image is pre-determined so the computer has lots of time to prepare the next frame.
Pre-ordered this week ago, btw, there is singleplayer beta with the pre-order too, not only multi.
Definitely worth your money, can't wait when it's released
@TheLonelyBrit No its not in Alpha - its for sale now as pre release at steam released sometime early december.
this game looks incredible. thank you TB for always bringing us amazing footage and previews.
I can't wait. The water effects in Trine 2 is fantastic! Loved Trine 1.
When I first saw 'Pandemonium' on the Ps1 I was very, very impressed. This instilled the same feeling. I love the progression of video games, there's always something to look forward to.
Oh man, I'm thrilled for this. TB got me hooked on Trine when it came out. So glad they're making another one :]
@BFR579 thx for the feedback,i also tried these,i am surprised you like supermeatboy i tried this but kept on failing on one of the first jumps, maybe i will go back to it soon if i can figure out what i was doing wrong
how many games do you play omg, every game i wonder about and search on youtube you did a review of.
Not a review. And this is his career, so he spends a lot of time with it.
such a thing as "2.5d" doesn't really exist. it's just a colloquial term for 3D graphics locked into a 2D plane of gameplay.
Yet another great video even tho your on vacation. True dedication.
That rhymes by the way.
@sw8carbon The whole point of his character story is actually that he DOESN'T have attack spells. That he can never get those right. But his levitation, and ability to create clockwork objects are really good. And you can attack with him. Dropping a box or platform on an enemy, or just bashing them with either of those is very effective in combat. I believe you can even shove enemies directly with your levitation spell if they're close enough. The wizard isn't supposed to have run n' gun combat.
Looking forward to picking this one up! Thanks TB!
@TotalHalibut I think It's because a lot of people enjoy vicariously being part of that group. The Yogscast is a perfect example of that.
this game does have some of the most stunning aesthetics iv ever seen in a game. its beautiful.
Just bought this game on Steam for less than 4 dollars! This game is beautiful and very fun to play. I still havnt played multiplayer yet but I'm already in love with this game. It's feels good to play something that i like other than an FPS or 3D RPG. This game was worth every penny so far.
So effin gorgeous, can't wait for it to come out so I play this coop with my friends! Kind of didn't love number one but they surely have refined it here!
The game gets pretty challenging by the end, some stages will need good thinking and usage of all abilities you can earn, also they do have some action focused segments.
I've bought it on steam (with the dlc, Goblin Menace) and I haven't regretted even slightly.
P.S: I'm not very fond of "puzzle-esque" games.
If I were to rate it I'd give it a 8.0 out of 10. Trine is not the finest game you'll play, but certainly very fun (and with excellent graphics).
Looks awesome, and it's great that even though it's a platformer, it have a 3d environment instead of a 2d one. Thanks for sharing this.
Such a beautiful colorful eyegasm of a game! -Pre-order time.
Sweet I got to watch this before the ad was turned on!
Omg, the gameplay looks like about just as much fun (which is exactly what we, or at least I, wanted), but the graphics etc... I wouldn't have even dared to dream that they could bump it up as much as they did on an already plainly gorgeous game!
The graphics and physics look incredible for an indie game :o
Burst into hysterical laughter at the end 25:23, going for bug, going for bug NOM NOM Knight!
This looks sick! Hopefully it goes on sale for christmas in which case im getting it!
pre-ordered over steam 3 weeks ago and played the beta, it just incredible.
This is so awesome! Thanks for the video TB!
I have finished first Trine once. My eyes popped out back then.. So beautiful. I gotta do it again so i'll have those enchanted vibes again. After that i'll buy this one. I'm kinda sure i wont gonne get dissapointed this time either ;)
I just love 2D puzzle-based platforers.
I Love Trine! These kind of games never gets old. Thanks for the physics.
(Sorry, i didn't watch the whole video. Probably know why...)
The shading and use of color reminds me so much of the Hildebrandt brothers from back in the 70's and 80's.
I haven't played trine 1 but I've played trine 2 beta at least a handful times already and I have to say I'm in love with it. Can't wait to play the full game!
As someone who lives in Durham I can confirm that it does have quite a striking similarity to the rose window of Durham Cathedral.
@bezoro2008 @Dearion89 thats 3D actually. The fact that the characters move left/right/up/down doesnt make the environment 2D or 2.5D...
That waterarround 14 mins in is basically the best water I have seen ina game. Mostly because of the waves. Though I guess maybe it's because one can't see it from every angle.
This is. The best looking game I've ever played on PC.
Haha you had me after 5 mins :) I kept watching though because I love your videos :D
Having been a massive fan of the first game, I'm really looking forward to seeing Trine possibly enter the scope of at least a small part of the mainstream PC audience. It certainly deserves to.
Played the first one, loved it to bits.
Going to buy this one as well, and now I even have people to play it with.
This is going to be the best 15 bucks I've ever spent on Steam.
what a stunning effects! definitely going to buy this game. Thank you TB i wouldn't of known about this game if it wasn't for you!
gorgeous game and if you have 3D, it is arguably the best 3D I have seen so far (native too so no need for paid software).
PS is that Claudia Black doing the thief's voice?
Wow, could you imagine this art style and graphics in a full 3d open world RPG, i personally would wet myself with glee!
The music is so beautiful.
The original was good, but the second game looks to be the best platformer I have ever seen in my life. Indie developers is an amazing contribution to gaming. Just the idea of paying so little for so much quality makes me drool as a gamer. It just shows how far indie development has gotten. Magicka, Trine and so many other good titles which help the indie market evolve further.
this game actually could inspire a very valid conversetion of graphic aeshetics versus number of pixels in games and how modern games have blunt and boring aeshetically just so they can fit in every last drop of pixels in discs
This game is absolutely stunning in 3D. very highly recommended.
This game probably has some of the most amazing graphics i've seen so far.
Just downloaded this game on ps4 and am currently loving it!
Holy hell that game is gorgeous. The most beautiful game I've ever seen in my life.
It look gorgeous! Played the beta level and it was amazing.
@MrKain26 I never do the main quests first - I busy myself with the side quests and after those are done I'll go for the main storyline and on the way I visit all the points of interest and explore the world, which in Skyrim is very large :)
The first Trine is awesome and gorgeous and this looks more so in both respects. High budget big game producers take note.
@Nekro9000 Wasn't it supposed to be like 300 hours with all the available side-quests?
These days in 2011 it doesn't happen often anymore I'm stunned by graphic design, but this is brilliant.
Also im guessing Ari Pulkkinen is composing again, love his work.Trine had my favourite soundtrack the year it released.
This game looks RIDICULOUSLY GOOD.
Oh my god, the graphics are GOD DAMN AMAZING. So colorful.
Zoya, of course, imagined what fabulous treasure they might find. "I ain't saying she's a gold digger."
Priceless TB. Priceless.
TB, them majority of gothic churches have rose windows that look like that one
I'm going to get that game, for sure. I got the first one in a Humble Indie Bundle and it has to be amongst the very best indie games I've ever played :D
@Bloited you forgot generated sidequests, replayability and infinite amount of woodchopping
I'm so jealous TB! Such a good looking game, can't wait until it comes out =3
The graphics are incredibly gorgeous!
bought it on steamsale, started playin' for hours and I don't regret a second of it
@qttytn 7th!? It was supposed to be released on the 6th of Dec. As it is finlands independence day. How I wish you were wrong, and that they'd release it when they actually intended.
Oh men, i love these colorful, dreamy, glowing graphics :D
Loved the first game, really looking forward to this one.
There's something about the atmosphere that's not to my taste, but it's still an utterly beautiful game. I'm tempted to buy this regardless of my computer's ability to play it, simply to support the guys who made it.
There's a Linux port coming out?
Holy shit, +respect for Frozenbyte. It's hard to find a good game that wasn't crappily ported to PC nowadays, a full, native, port to Linux just proves to me that the devs care about the PC community. They will have my money for that.
I find it a bit strange how excited he got when he saw the rose window, and he talked about Durham Cathedral a lot and to be honest I think that he thought only Durham Cathedral is the only one to have a rose window when in reality there are hundreds if not thousands of Cathedrals and churches with rose windows. And IMO I think that window looks more like the rose window of Bristol Cathedral..
@Hankatu yes they do when we are talking about Trine 2
@GamingHole i think it is supposed to mean: footage you can't find anywhere else.
I have over 10hours on just the beta... Cant wait for this game to actually come out!
Wow. And I thought Hard Reset looked great for an indie game. This just looks amazing. The lighting is just breathtaking.
@Sturmspike Not when it's your entirely subjective opinion
got this game for 1.99 during steam sale!!!
hope all new games look this good or better in the future. ^^
@totalhalibut the thing that i, and probably many others like about LP's is that it is more "casual". for example, in your last terraria video when jesse failed horribly and you laughed at it, i laughed. it was the best part of the whole episode. with pre-recorded content you cant get the same reactions.you wouldnt get the ranomness if you commentated it after filming it. but, this is my opinion, and i shouldnt speak for others. also, sorry if this is confusing, im not great at english
@TotalHalibut I like it because you two are alot funnier together. A perfect match!
i'm glad they actually made it possible to play at ANY platform. Seriously. Why doesn't studios DO THIS?
