came in strong, those swoops were so enticing. She has such a distinct voice, rides the rhythm, plays with the notes. Love her facial expressions, giving us a peak into her take on the lyrics. Wonderful!

The # 19 after # 20, Her name is Mia Mathews and the second who was 19-year-old is singing Lainey Wilson's "Wildflowers and Wild Horses with that touching tune. She poke about her Hometown in Centre, Alabama keeping her spot in her pocket. She reflected on singing with her mom ands sister on the Grand Old Opry stage. Hoping to stand out further according to TV Insider ,the hopeful decided on this cover tune by that country music artist. Katy said she found her roar. Luke thought it was a great performance and song choice. Told by Chace Backham and Julia Ganano. And Lionel saw more confidence and artistic. That performance last night was featured with Lainey Wilson of American Idol runner-up on Jimmy Kimmel Live and other network shows.......That segment was part of Clark Beckham, The Idol Breakdown....

I wonder why she changed some of the lyrics? The original has the line "I'm 4/5 of reckless and 1/5 of Jack", but it sounds as if she says "and born off the tracks". Is this because Jack refers to an alcohol beverage (Jack Daniels)?

This is no reflection on the singer in this video but I am just amazed that this show is even still generating revenue. It is the same singer profile, same singing style, same songs, same runs, same same same same. There is absolutely nothing new and has not been for many Years. They take any voice that has any 'out of the box' qualities, weed out unique artists, and ALWAYS are left with the same cookie-cutter artists. Sure they're good, sure they can sing, but it's just the same thing over and over and over Year after Year after Year. If you took nearly any really successful singer from the last 80 Years or so, the vast majority of them would be weeded out by the system that rewards mediocrity and discourages creativity. Wow, I sound like I'm ranting, maybe I am but mostly I am just amazed that people are still buying into this same old formula... Ok,, Whew! Rant over. Happy times........
