Formal has said on stream that he doesn't believe that there will even be another season, so It'd say its a safe bet that he plans to leave
And the HCS lead recently pretty much confirmed on HCS Pro Talk that there will be S4. Have to wait and see I guess.

@@gabrielramirez8202 The question is though how long will Eco keep playing, he's the oldest in the series at 31. But I agree Stellur isn't leaving, especially when they've won 2 out of 3 Majors this season.

I got my money on him playing as a Halo pro as long as he wants to and then retiring. He just bashed cod saying he has no desire to play cod because of the miniscule skillgap, aim assist is so insane.

sad commentary on the state of professional Halo. Microsoft drops the ball with this franchise more and more. The choices I would make if I was at the helm of Halo would make it grow. Not make our best players want to retire.
Let’s be honest, the choices you would make would probably make the situation worse
Thing is, if there will be another season, why would they keep it a secret? What is there to win by doing that? I can only think of negative consequences, like players leaving the game. If they want to create hype, they can just officially announce its going to happen and keep it at that. I think it points at them also not knowing if they will host another season at this point, or really poor management.
I enjoyed watching the CoD champs, but as a Halo fan I was super jealous

He said he wants to play blops6 professionally...thing is if formal leaves optic drops to a top 6-8. There is not another formal in the league. I don't think sparty goes to Optic..doesn't seem like a good fit to me. He's just too much drama. I also don't think optic will win a tourney with out formal and with out a win in a year they'll leave halo.. we'll see

He was literally showing the modern cod gameplay and comparing it to older cods saying it doesn't make any sense how much there's aim assist.
That is true, he did say that, but now with a door open, the mind can wander, and sometimes, money truly does talk. Not to mention, finding a new passion for Formal is nothing new. You just never know.

ROFL they didn’t think they had their spot 100%. Cdl is 4 teams and they aren’t the core 4. They were a younger team with promise and a solid core. But it’s offseason they knew anything can happen. Now with formal if you watched Scump watch party, he was looking at that stage like he missed winning at that scale. Halos great but look at London or Atl stage and look at champs. Staying in halo is just playing the same 8 guys for him to win a chip. Or CDL where core 4 + he’d be on the 5th team looking in. Much bigger competitive challenge. And much bigger earnings regardless

I’ve stepped away from gaming for most of the year but have recently started watching Halo and COD again. After seeing the difference in the state of both games, Halo needs to be put to rest till the next Halo game. There is almost zero interest in this game in comparison to COD. How is there any money being made in this esport? Seriously, how are salaries, prize pools, event staffing, etc even remotely justified? There is like 11k people watching a tourney livestream while cod has almost 150k on Scump’s channel. It’s pathetic what 343 has done to Halo. I’m a die hard Halo fan since H2, and have followed comp Halo religiously. Just put the nail in the coffin and move on.
He doesn’t play halo any more unless he has to. He clearly isn’t enjoying the gane and I don’t blame him. Playing the same maps and game modes on repeat isn’t fun for me as a casual fan, must be miserable for the pros. Not to mention the fact that the game doesn’t work consistently.
I agree he’ll probably move on but he also said on stream recently that he wouldn’t go back to cod if aim assist was still too good

I love halo so much, but it keeps kicking itself in the foot. Its the cowboys of the gaming industry. I wanted to play all day and i couldnt because of the dedicated server issue.

Are both of you that delusional to think HCS is thriving now? The stands are empty at events look in the background. It’s sad. Halo pulls barely any viewers on twitch. The player base is dwindling.
@@CodyEmmans You're the delusional one for saying we were talking about "thriving". Side note, London also sold out, twice. People like to watch comp Halo, but they should invest in proper marketing. If people aren't following the official channels it's very likely they've never even heard of HCS. Lots of potential for growth because comp Halo is extremely entertaining and the level of competition is nuts.

Formal has been VERYA inconsistent on halo recently, so i personally think this would be the best choice for him
Optic is in a tough spot if Formal leaves. The only real asset they'd have is Lucid. Trippy hasn't been playing the best and doesn't have a lot of brand power. Best case I'd say try to poach the SSG roster minus Legend so Lucid, Stellur, Bound, Eco. I'm sure they'd leave SSG for Optic because of the brand. Question is whether Optic wants to spend the money for the last season of a dying game. More likely i'd say keep Lucid, Trippy, and go after some up and coming players... Last Shot and Cherished, Mental and Cykul... Precision is also nasty and on the come up. Then rebuild in the offseason.
@@CDX7 Lucid, Trippy, Stellur, Lqgend. That'd be the sickest possible roster tbh. Lucid and Trippy are basically the exact same as Stellur and Eco, those duos have incredible chemistry. But the fact is, Eco can't play forever either, he's 31 now.
