I had a Huffy Stu Thompson that I had to customize slow&cheap cause we were poor. Pretty cool looking bike but had shi* components. It might have had dia comp brakes tho. 😕
@@jmobbinfoo4838 I had a huffy in 1983. Took a huge tumble at the bottom of a large steep road trying to transition to a dirt foot trail that went off to the right. Bike didn't make it.
fun fact, i’ve met eddie fiola 2 times at his local skatepark, he is insanely kind and still shredded the dirt jumps and pump track, he gave me some tips on riding to get through my mental blocks that i won’t ever forget. keep up the incredible riding and thank you for the amazing impact you have on all of us bike riders eddie, we love you❤
There will never be freestyle like the 80's best era of BMX. GT Legends. I love todays freestyle, but old school days can never be forgotten. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Hat's off to you Eddie, I grew up in the 80's and you were definitely the biggest influence for my passion for bikes. Thank you again for the memories.
Eddie is a legend. Without him and others in that era, Bmx would have died and just fizzled away completely. Thank you Eddie and happy to see you still enjoy riding.
Saw Eddie along with R.L.Osborn, Mike Miranda and many others during these Bicross International of Paris Bercy events in the mid 80. Still a vivid memory as a kid. Great to see Eddie is still in great shape.
I LOVE old people skills on the bmx bro, they got crazy skills like you'd never seen before 😯 they're stupidly good at it... Even when they're old, they still get it.. idk how to describe how much I love and adore them... Just so good, you can't compare them to the new generation, because they are super good in the 80s 90s timeline...
I used to sit on the handlebars and pedal backwards up and down the streets people loved it. I can still do it I just got a refresh real quick because I like multiple times a week.
I was just at dirt Fest and Eddie is just as bad ass as he was 40 years ago lol nothing but respect Eddie. If there's no blood then it's not BMX I love you bro dirt Fest was awesome 👏 😎 🙌 👌 👍👍
Viva the FLYING BANANA!! He was as fresh as it gets. Big shout out to the old skool bike and Skyway wheels. I love watching freestyle, seems to be making a bit of a comeback. It really takes me back.
I was in a flatland competition with Dave Mirra in the early 90s in what was the prelude to the X Games. Dave was out of this world talented. I thought we’d tour forever competing against each other but the sport changed and either you adapt and innovate like Dave did or you’re sitting on your couch cheering on the homie like me
That's the Man who inspired me along with "Rad" to do flat land N freestyle! I learned all these tricks N off the movie too! Except never had the equipment to practice back-Flip! And I always wanted to learn that grasshopper he was doin right B4 his balance trick....
Its amazing what a fixie can offer over a freewheel bike. That's the key, if you have control of forward and backward, it makes tricks easier to practice.
I didn't know Tom Cruise can flat land!!!
O Checo Perez??
Wait, wtf??? That's Tom Cruise??
No shit😂
@@jaycagle6877 🤣🤣🤣
@@OGQuranChristian4245if that’s naw that’s com truise
We all wanted to be as bad ass as Eddie was in the 80's.
Он и сейчас круче всех нас)
Me too!!
I got a Predator though instead of a GT 😢
@@AquarianNomadic heck! I started out on the old school Mongoose that weighed a ton.

The photograph of Eddie sitting on the yellow GT is the most epic photograph ever taken in BMX history

I am in aww with all the comments. All show their admiration and love for this man. He has truly sowed what he reaped.

I used to sit on the handlebars and pedal backwards up and down the streets people loved it. I can still do it I just got a refresh real quick because I like multiple times a week.
