අද මහගෙදර වත්තෙ කුඹුරු යායෙ වැපිරිල්ල. වපුරන්න කලින් පෝරු ගාන්න පවුලෙ පිරිමි හැමෝම වගේ කුඹුරට බහිනවා. ඉතින් එහෙම දවසක අපේ ගෙදරින් තමයි කෑම ටික හදල යවන්නෙ. ඉතින් මම උදෙන්ම තලපත් මාලු ටිකක් සිරිවර්ධන මාමට කියල මීගමුවෙන් ගෙන්න ගත්ත. මෙහෙම මහන්සි වෙලා වැඩ කරන දවසට කන කෑම ටික සැරට රසට ලුණු ඇඹුල් ඇතුව වගේම ඇගට පතට හයි හකිත්යක් දැනෙන කෑමවේලක් වෙන්නත් ඕන හින්ද මාලු වලට අමතරව බිත්තරෙකුත් බත් පෙට්ටියට එකතු කරන්න හිතුවා. මාලු එක්ක හොඳටම ගැලපෙන හින්ද පොල් සම්බෝලෙකුත් හදල ගන්න කල්පනා කලත් උයන්න ගිහින් බලද්දි ගෙදර පොල් ගෙඩියක් තියා පොල් බෑයක්වත් නෑ.
පොල් ගෙඩි දෙක තුනක් ලෙලි ගහල තියන්න කියල මං කලින් දවසෙ මගින් මගටම මල්ලිට මතක් කෙරුවා. මොකද මහගෙදර වත්තෙ කෙලවරේ තමයි මේ පාර අලුත කඩපු පොල් මුරේ ගෙඩි ටික ගෙඩගහල තිබුනෙ. එතනට යන්න නම් වෙලෙ දිගේ ඉඩම කෙලවරට යන්න ඕන.
කොහෙද ඉතින්, මේ යෝදයා ඒක අමතක කරලනෙ. අන්තිමේ මටම පොල් ලෙලි ගහගන්න යන්න වුන නිසා දවල්ට උයාගන්න පොඩ්ඩක් පරක්කු වුනත් එක්ක. වෙලාවෙ හැටියට එළවලු කපල දෙන්න ආත්තම්ම හරි උදව්වට ආව එක ලොකු දෙයක්.
පොල් කිරි දාල හිදෙන්න තම්බල ගත්ත තලපත් මාලු අබ විනාකිරි එක්ක මෙහෙම මලවල ගත්තම හරිම රසයි. පොල් කට්ට පිටින්ම පුච්චල අපි හදන මේ පොල් සම්බෝලෙත් ඒකටම ගැලපෙනවා. කටුව පිටින් පිච්චචෙන නිසා පොල් කෑල්ල තරමක් තැම්බෙනවත් එක්ක. පිච්චුන පොල් වලිනුත් සම්බෝලෙට අමුතු රසක් එකතු වෙනවා. දවල්ට කෑම ගෙනියන්න දුවගෙන ආපු මල්ලිටම කියල මං සම්බෝලෙ හදව ගත්තා. ඒ හින්දම වෙලාවට කෑම ටික ගෙනියගන්න පුලුවන් වුනා. නැත්නම් කුඹුරු වැඩ කරන්න ආපු උදවිය බඩගින්නෙ. මම ලහි ලහියෙ බත් පෙට්ටියට කෑම ටික අහුරගත්තා. කොච්චර පරක්කුයි කියල තේරුනත්, එහෙමයි කියල දවල්ට හදපු කෑම ටික රහ බලන්න නම් අපේ මල්ලි මොහොතක්වත් පරක්කු වුනේ නෑ
