sigh... .would have loved for the Game I joined turned out like that.
Sadly, this great System does not pair well with the "absent Tyrant GM" and an absolute Failfit of Characterchoices - like "I am the Captain, but I will not give Commands" as baseline for a Captian Char.
This System strongly demands Players working together - there is no Way, as OP you may are - to manage Problems alone quite to do normal Tasks alone.
A Ship is its Crew and a Crew needs to work together as One, enriching it with their Individuality, not dividing them by that.
I can only recommend this Game, it is one of the Best out there.
And I realize our GM did not even know the Rules now that I have the Book and that you handle it as I would do.
