Team AngelWolf: #RideWithRio Challenge
The purpose of this challenge is to spread further the message and mission of Inclusive Impactivity by TeamAngelWolf.
Goals and opportunities of the challenge:
To show by example, the possibilities of accessibility and inclusion, by a son and father (persons with and without disabilities) attempting a demanding physical sports challenge, together with inclusion.
To motivate community/families/corporates to physically participate with their own challenge, they can design their own personal challenge, whatever there age or ability.
For community individuals and corporates to be involved in the project, by sponsoring towards the Team AngelWolf: ‘WolfPack Impact Talks’ for schools; so that schools can receive and hear a journey of inclusion for free.
The Challenge | The Goal:
Cycling 100km every day for 30 days in the United Arab Emirates.
Nick (dad, 54) will cycle on an adapted bike with Rio (son, 20, person with disabilities), who will join him on an accessible seat at the front of the adapted bike.
Nick will be pushing 85kgs - Rio who weighs 50kgs & the 35kgs bike.
Dates:
1st to 30th June 2023.
Want to join in the challenge, in your own way?
Where ever you are in the world, whatever your age or ability, create your own physical challenge, making it accessible and inclusive so that it is a challenge for YOU. Maybe you will cycle or swim or hike or run or wall climb or push your wheelchair a certain distance. This might be something you do on one day only or 30 consecutive days like Nick and Rio. Maybe you will do it by yourself or as a family or a company team effort or maybe as an inclusive team (a person with disabilities AND a person without disabilities).
Please remember to keep safe, keep hydrated and fuelled, take full self -responsibility and most importantly ENJOY!
Team AngelWolf is not liable towards any personal damage, injury, accidents, towards any person, asset, or property caused or sustained by any participant (during, before, and after the challenge)

1a: The Team AngelWolf Story by Nick Watson
(1 hour. Targeted at all Grades/Years)
This motivational talk shares the story of Rio and how Team AngelWolf came to be. Overcoming attitudinal, social, and physical barriers, TAW has opened doors to inclusion in sports and community events.
This talk starts the connection, interest and motivation with Inclusive Impactivity.
1b: The Little Wolf Story by Tia Watson
(30 mins. Targeted at Primary ages: Grade 5/Year 6 and below)
This motivational talk is by Tia, 16 year old sister of Rio from Team AngelWolf. This is HER story; her journey with inclusion, being a young caregiver, sister to Rio, a triathlete (as an inclusive athlete and solo athlete), her accomplishments, her Guinness World Record attempt with Rio, and, her message about inclusion.
