- A totally brilliant tune by Blair Douglas honouring Nelson Mandela. The photos are mostly of the internet. I hope you will enjoy this posting. There are already a few postings of this tune on UA-cam.
The face that Mandela died didn't really hit home until I head this song on the radio. And then I realized ~ it was the first time I've heard this song without Mandela actually being alive. Every time I'd listened to this before, from the first time I heard it onwards, I always pictured Mandela smiling with a big white-haired grin somewhere. And now I realized, he won't be grinning anymore...
You touched all of our hearts Nelson. And I hope one day, we and I will be able to continue in the footsteps you have left for us. I do not know if there is a heaven or a hell, or reincarnation for that matter. But I do know that to live on people's hearts is to never die. Nelson Mandela ~ You Will Live On!
Every time I listen that music, I'm overflowed by emotion. Absolutely and forever perfect !
My mom had this CD when I was growing up. To this day this is one of my favorite songs and the reason I am in love with Scotland.

this may well be blair douglas's finest segment in his musical journey in scotland, i wonder if you have songs by the gaelic singer ian macrae another fine singer.

Found it thanks, but, cannot afford to buy a whole CD when I only need one track! How come this track isn't on iTunes when lots of his others are? Surely this is what causes folk to just copy music!!!!
Looks like you should be able to buy the track from virginmedia doht com . Only his two most recent cds are on iTunes. I recommend the whole of Summer In Skye anyway. It's great :)
