I don't know anything about bushcrafting other than what I pickup from watching your videos. In my ignorance I would have guessed the moss on the ground would have been the stuff to harvest. WRONG! Nice to see what is actually the better moss to use. If you feel so inclined it would be nice to see just how you harvest the moss from the tree. I enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing them with us. Bibsoutdoors

I always look forward to watching your newest video, of your latest weekends activities! You give people lots of useful advice, that they can try out for themselves, so here's my tip for people to try, not only whilst camping outdoors, but whilst at home too! If you rinse the raw bacon first with some cold water before cooking it, it reduces it shrinking by 50%! (ha ha, the exact opposite effect it has on us guys!)
Thanks for providing your subscribers with "Epically-Awesome" videos, as it allows us to share the experience with you!

Don't know why you would spend so much time with the permeable moss when there is a large fallen tree directly behind the (3:20) moss where you could peal the waterproof bark off. It would take half the time.

You should have put down a tarp before the moss. Even an old ratty tarp can help provide a bit of protection from the elements (rain and wind being the most prevalent) when moss is added as an overlay. But I have to admit it looks good.

This shop I still use because ex military gear takes some beating. Keep them videos coming mate.

You're videos are so relaxing and enjoyable I must say. I wonder however, since moss grows and thrives on decomposing wood, would this process you are doing decompose your shelter? I have no proper knowledge of moss but I would think that the moss would speed up the decomposition and shorten the life of your shelter? Thanks so much for your brilliant videos, they are the only videos I really look forward to seeing.

The sky, grey... yea, same here, but SO green. Canvas Tarp is your friend. A 3 meter x 3 meter ought to do and not take up too much room. And provides some water proofing.

Do you have a facebook page for all your trips? i took my daughter out for three hours to a private bit of woodland today. She had a great time, a small fire with basic food, Noodles hot dogs and marshmallows, got to keep my daughter on side. Going to take it slowly with her. The woods i dont think anyone has been in them for years, very over grown. Not even explored them yet. Just a simple camp with a fallen tree for my daughter to sit on. She loved her first ever camp fire.

You would hate our bacon, it is about 2 inches wide, mostly fat, thin sliced. Yours is much meatier.

The woods can be dangerous places - the blair witch chasing you with a chainsaw, huge knife, axe and pruning saw wanting to rip your kidneys out. And you slip and hit a tree - stay safe John, I'm eating that shank with you - ATB

you got my vote on your camp shelter ,great job . your pretty much the only one that is using moss to cover the out side of your shelter. :)

i really enjoyed this video, and i would like to see some updates to the shelter as it weathers. Good job on the moss though you will have to keep at it till it finally takes over the staging area.

A cheap nylon fishing net would be good to put down first. That way, if you want to reuse it in a year or so, you could get it off in a huge sheet
