- The river bank camp has now got walls and a cool table I cut out of a roof and a epic fire pit we put a lot of work in to getting the wind barriers up was wet and windy but a dam good camp and epic food hope you all enjoy
OMG! just kill me now chef! Texas sized gamon steaks and Texas sized Yorkshire you could have folded those Yorkshire puddings in half and made Texas Garmon tacos :-)

Well now you mention it lol I have put all the cheep chains in the bin and I have better quality chains now and if they don't work I will get a new one already seen one I like I will admit I have neglected my saw the past 5 months
if every one here gives you a dollar you can buy 10 chainsaws lol
Na I would rather pay for it myself I will respect it more I'm a person that if I need the kit I will get it myself

THATS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT ! real tools on a camp site, a chainsaw. Tools are everything, with the right tools I and most outdoorsmen can live out in the wild for as long as there is fish and game.

hi John I really respect the work you put into your camps, even though you visit the same locations, I never get bored of watching your videos , you are a great inspiration.
Enjoy your time off mate, that looks like a weighty front pack! I am off to the South Island in NZ (Tablelands Plateau, Mt Arthur etc) in a few weeks. Going to head off the trails for a few kms and post up next to a river.
Will be stoking a big fire on the riverbed but pays to be well off the main tracks or the Rangers get unhappy!
As soon as i seen ya vid come up i instantly thought about ice,And what happens ice in beginning lol.Gutted for yaz couldnt break it haha
Neat-o fort. Plenty of Sangria and weed. A few snacks, some binoculars, a Shortwave Radio...... I'd be set.... With a friend, better even.

Yeah but I'm cooking them to my liking and I do like a well don stake just as much as I enjoy a medium one

I did a spell in a welsh kitchen and over the season its amazing how your hands became temperature hardened - but I still find it a surprise to find how hot toast gets ! - ATB

Reminds me from the ages of 14 to 25 when I had several camps sites I would spend days at a time, I'd hunt and fish and trap game.

Why not do an A frame over the shelter but leave the front open for the fire? That would be awesome. Great vid I think I've seen almost every one so far.
im in the usa from texas,very inspirational, we did things similar near a lake we owned,had a blast doing it,last i heard the fort is still up...
Oh hell, if your going all gourmet, then I'm going for chicken wings and pizza. Hell a couple twelve-packs of Taco's and Fosters, hell lets go back to town and camp out in my flat. Opps, I forgot, I don't have a flat since I started camping out. bichin huh ! And that's the way, uh-huh I like it, oh, and don't forget Chocolate!
Fosters - really ??? No, if you want to go gourmet, it's gotta be a proper English beer that has some punch to it :-) And no, don't ask me to give you examples of the best British beer - there are literally hundreds to choose from. Every little village has it's own little micro-brewery - God, I love living in this country :-)
