it was so interesting hearing justin talk about how the idea came to him, that one moment in the final match being the seed that blossomed into the whole movie. also really makes sense with how the story is built with the flashbacks coming back to that match. a brilliant film all in all, excellent work from everybody involved
This is a good interview. Insightful questions from a knowledgeable interviewer. And the actors, director, writers, and producers (including Zendaya) are expressive, eloquent, and vibrant.
I didn’t think I would like this movie but I found it very psychologically interesting. I particularly enjoyed how all the slow motion scenes were intense and backed with music that had me feeling like I was working out lol. Just lots of mental action. Loved the intense nonverbal moments. Everything was interwoven very beautifully. I kept wondering how there could be a good ending for a plot like this, but the ending really was great. Just tied it right back to the beginning. That feeling. Because that’s really what they have all been chasing the whole time, in their own ways, and it’s interesting and sad and riveting to see how they used each other to achieve that feeling along the way. So in a way there’s that resolution. But it cost them each a lot by the end 😬 Great job zendaya for producing. She gave the film industry something definitely different Also the director Luca did amazing I mean every frame was perfect 👌
Third best for me after "Call Me by Your Name" and "Suspiria" but what a filmmaker to have such three vastly different films in the running for his best.
This year is going to be a slow year for movies because of the strike . You never know if Challengers is really good and holds momentum all year I could see it scoring some nominations.
Sorry but I would never agree with saying Art ruined Tashi and Patrick relationship, Tashi would never accept to be with someone she considered a loser ,that was also not working hard, just believing he was the best, and with talent would solve everything,a lazy rich boy, when she was the contrary. And Patrick would never recognize needing help,he just wanted help years later. And he was also jealous of her achievements and that she was the duncanator. And the same for Tashi and Patrick, Art and Patrick friendship didn't end just because Tashi and if Art and Tashi's relationship was in problems was not really because Patrick .
She is the one who lifts up her co star! She makes any man seem more believable as a hero! I call this the Zoe Saldana effect! Tim Shallowman looks and feels like a tiny little puberty blocked boy but if u put plane yogart with Zendaya it will hv flavor! Good for her she can be anything!
no for real i was shocked when they cast tim for dune but with zendaya. but in challengers shes defenitely met her equals because z, joch and mike all have that it factor so its nice that z is working with ppl more on her level
See I don’t think Art ruined the relationship between Patrick and Tasha. The way Tasha talked to Patrick is what ruined it! Her tone and the way she communicates is touch to swallow.
I dont think Art is the bad guy, he just love Tashi, but Patrick is unstable. Art was perfectly played by Mike..He is indeed a good actor.. Not to mention He is so Fff Hot..❤
cool masterpiece. sometimes pros are pros, exactly because of their unconditional love to their passion. and that’s awesome. not good or bad, just beautiful. that unique power, without question, is definitely worth respecting and makes the difference. who won? easy, pro level tennis.
Nah Amy is one of Hollywood's most successful producers with blockbuster and Oscar-nominated films and Zendaya a movie star and award-winning actress, the film will be a hit
I really believe Josh is going to get a nomination for his role in this film
JOSH OSCAR CAMPAIGN STARTS NOW!!!!!
YESSSS
EXACTLYYY
this is Zendaya's year 💙
Zendaya is getting a Best Picture award!!!
I hope so. Amy, Rachel, and Zendaya should win OSCARS for producing.
Petition for Mike Faist nomination for best leading actor after snubbed in West Side Story

Zendaya year is 2024,i hope she get nomination as her first lead role in movie

Josh better be at least nominated! He’s an incredible actor!!
I wonder if this will be nominated for the oscars
I think score for sure.
😂😂😂😂😂
probably, this is Zendaya's breakthrough role as serious adult lead actress
@@Denis-89I feel like she’s already pretty established? She has two Emmys lol
@@RyanHaile yes but it still a teen role. This is her first lead as an adult, leaving the teen roles behind
Zendaya is on fire
Josh better be nominated, he was great as Patrick!
It is her brain that is the beauty of her being!
Jacqueline Coley is such a great interviewer
I believe can be nominated for the OSCARS. Definitely
I love listening to Josh.
She’s definitely getting nominated if not for dune then for this movie it was amazing everyone Josh, Mike so incredible and that score wow
Can’t believe this was made by the director of A Bigger Splash, I Am Love and Call Me By Your Name
Luca Guadagnino's best movie!
Third best for me after "Call Me by Your Name" and "Suspiria" but what a filmmaker to have such three vastly different films in the running for his best.

So excited for Challengers!!! 🔥🔥🔥
It better be nominated
Can’t wait to watch this tomorrow
12:32 what does she mean cus wasnt that party at her house that was a mansion and on the beach. Wasnt she rich
im guessing it might be the money from tashi’s own brand deals and such? that part confuses me a little too
I think the house was a rented out mansion venue because it was an Adidas brand party for the young up and coming tennis players
@@m3rmaidmot3l the boys literally commented about how amazing her house. Was
It wasnt her house
@@hollybabyyy Patrick's house not Tashi.
This movie deserves an Oscar
Thanks for making movie magic! Enjoyed it yesterday at my nearest theatre.
Justin looks like someone who can handle the strongest potions!

Zendaya is just gorgeous, but most of that she is brillant and clever and so humble. A rare jewel. 'Wish her the best
"it's like alchemy" this is a potion seller reference
This is the film of the year.

When was this? How did I miss this talk?
hope zendaya gets nominated!!!

It's Tashi btw 😅
I Love josh he's sexy ASF
Yesssss
Amy, Rachel, and Zendaya should get OSCARS for producing this. And Zendaya and the guys should be nominated for Best Lead Actress/Actor.
Mike Faist is the best !!! ❤
I dont think Art is the bad guy, he just love Tashi, but Patrick is unstable.
Art was perfectly played by Mike..He is indeed a good actor..

Zendaya is so beautiful and talented.
💓
Amy Pascal baby ;D
She’s scary
Necesito que zendaya se gane un oscar 😩
Mike was snubbed for West Side Story, I hope he's not snubbed on this one!
4:57 why the hell did you cut Luca Guadagnino off
She didn't. There are jump cuts in the video editing
It looks great but i think the academy would focus on Guandagnino's other film this year
Is there a full version? Cuz it seems like it’s cut
Campaign for Zendaya oscar winner 2025 start now

Peter Parker must be proud 😅
Not that is bad but i feel like the academy will be more favourable with guandigno's other upcoming movies this year. Queer
It’ll be in festivals this year but will it have its Oscar-qualifying theatrical release this year too?
Looks pretty bad….
I seen it last night , it was so good definitely deserves the Oscar’s hype.
It wasnt
Challengers will flop because of Amy Pascal and Zendaya.
You’re a critic
Nah Amy is one of Hollywood's most successful producers with blockbuster and Oscar-nominated films and Zendaya a movie star and award-winning actress, the film will be a hit
Hater alert 😂
This is a sad example of a Rage Baiter.
Challengers is gotta nominated next year of Oscars 2025
I believe Zendaya would win the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in Challengers. But I could be wrong. Let’s see exactly.
Tbh, it's too early but i wouldn't be surprise if she get nominated.
