but shouldn't tv shows (and films) be made so that audiences don't have to go see other shows(/films) beforehand to understand?? maybe to get more depth, sure, but not to actually follow the plot. like the difference between a movie and book. directors shouldn't create a film where it's required to read a book beforehand to understand what's going on (just allow room for book lovers/admirers to have their moments) - and this is coming from a bookworm!

All the characters and even the villain of Legends of Tomorrow were introduced in Arrow and the Flash and to truly enjoy the stories and understand their motivations, it's important to watch the other shows. That's the beauty of having a shared universe between shows.

Although, I've never really really experienced that kind of "beauty" as I don't really watch TV shows myself but each to their own d:

(like how on the AMAZO she spent a year and a half in security and relative comfort in Ivo's quarters, and not half-starving in a cage losing body parts and getting shot to prove she was tough like the others)

He needs to watch all of Arrow and The Flash before judging this. DC's Legends of Tomorrow is so intertwined with Arrow and The Flash that you have to watch them first to really appreciate the characters.

They explain later why Rip Hunter didn't just save his family. He tried dozens of times, but every time he failed. He had to watch his family die over, and over again.

If you watched the arrow verse extensively you'd see that these characters except Rip Hunter were introduced way before legends started
Excluding Hawkwoman and Hawkman who showed up in a 2 episode crossover 2 months before the shows premier

I get how the show can be confusing if you just watch Legends of Tomorrow because they come from the Flash and Arrow universe and if you don't watch those shows you won't know anything about the characters in this one.

All these characters have been fleshed out to some extent on different arrowverse shows if you aren’t caught up you’ll be confused.
They also explain that rip tried to save his family but couldn’t change time.
Season 1 gets off to a rocky start but season 2 and 3 makes it easily the best show in the arrowverse
Also I feel like you should watch the 1st season of these shows, it’s hard to judge a show on by the first episode

basically season 1 and 2 were ok, but then they just stopped trying. I get embracing the cheesiness(although it does mean that you are appealing to 7 year olds now) but they could have spent some time making the cgi a bit better. Legends of tomorrow was just too much everything, and it in no way matched the down-to-earth Arrow, which was still not good but much better than the other shows

You wouldn't have 'just met these characters 5 minutes ago' if you had watched all the episodes of the Arrowverse shows up to this point. The Atom and White Canary are seen in Arrow. Captain Cold, Heat Wave and Firestorm were in the Flash. And Hawkman and Hawkgirl are in the crossover of Flash and Arrow when Vandal Savage is the villain. Even Gideon was seen on the Flash. The only new character is Rip Hunter.

This is a really fun show to watch. I highly recommend DC's Legends of Tomorrow to anyone who really wants to get into time travelling in the DC Arrowverse franchise.

This show gets SO MUCH BETTER in season 2! Then in season 3 they truly find their own vibe that sets them apart from the other, darker DC shows, and makes it one of my favourite TV shows ever! Season 3 is really funny and just-the-right-amount-of-weird, and looks deeper into each character's individuality and their relationships (and the finale is one of the best things I have ever seen, if you've seen it you know what I mean lol) Also there's lot of queer and racial diversity! :D

Question 1: You can watch Legends without watching Arrow. I don’t think you will be confused. There are some references in the show and crossovers that requires you to watch the rest of the arrowverse shows to get, but the overall plot of the show is still easy to understand without knowing these.
Question 2: I don’t think you’ll miss out if you watch it in another language but I’m not sure as I’ve never set it to another language lol. There’s nothing really notable about any characters voice, I just am not sure as I have never heard Legends in a different language.

Season 1 of Legends is not that great tbh. They tried to take themselves too serious and the chicken people were annoying. Season 2, the chicken people are gone and the writers decided too stop being serious and take some drugs. Now it's AWESOME.

You should change all your video titles to weird "pilot" coz you can't judge an entire "show" by watching just an episode. It's like saying this book sucks coz i didn't like the first line.
Guide to Street Magic actually... TV shows have a structure that each episode follow. And the first paragraph of a book tells you if a book is good or not. Change my mind.
Personally, I would judge a show just by watching the first 10 episodes because I think it's enough to determine its quality.

+91claire What exactly is your problem? Just because it is ridicoulus doesn't mean it isn't consitent. If you are looking for a brooding show like season 1 was, you should stop watching. Legends found its niche and a lot of people (including me) love the show for it. There are many shows out there for your taste but acting like the type of show Legends wants to be makes it a bad show doesn't seem fair to me.

Everyone needs to start watching this show from the 2nd season. It is legit one of the best shows on air right now, it rolls with the cheesy nature so well it's unbelievable. The improvement in quality from season 1 to 2 is incredible.
Actually, this show is AWESOME. “It’s basically a Saturday morning cartoon come to life.” YES and it’s so much fun! To be fair, the first season is not great, but the past two seasons have been absolute joy. Also Sara Lance is the best character in all of the Arrow/Flash shows.

What I love about LoT is the self awarness (especially from season 2-3) it's becoming more bizzare as the seasons go on and it's what makes it fun. It reminds me of Glee in some way: A mess that knows it's a mess
