The wait will be worth it. Got one as soon as they came out. I was hesitant at first cause I normally don’t just rush purchases like that it but was well worth it. Good luck with it!
I have a American original 60s in threetone ....man I want that Olympic white ....is the 7.25 radius fretboard harder o play? Great tone man were you playing a black face?
Glad I found your channel, great playing. This is one of the best strat looks, isnt it? I have a guitar which happens to be very similar to this, mine is a japanese fender. White and rosewood. Hey, great sound and vibrato, congrats, all the best.

Did you deck the trim or leave it floating? I usually deck all my trims bright think when I get this StratI’m just gonna leave it floating and try to deal with that if it stays in tune
Thanks for asking, I decked it and am used to it so I like that one way pushing down. And it was not going out of tune at all when it was floating at first
The only downside to this is the poly undercoat, and the fact that you can't lower the action too much without bends choking out due to the 7.25 radius. The former, Fender should be disclosing on the spec sheet. The latter is just a reality of the vintage radius, which feels awesome but if you're a lead player, takes a lot of adjusting to.
I usually only like Strats with maple fret boards....but watching this Im re-thinking my stupid position!...if only it had a satin or unfinished neck. What a shame.
Great playing! I saw that you were able to get the trem arm to fall back into place. Did you do this by just not screwing it in as much (with the spring still inside)?
Got my Vintage American 61 Strat about 3 weeks ago direct from Fender and sent it right back. It felt good but the fretboard had Lacquer smears on multiple frets under the B and E strings. Some frets were unfinished on the sides. Very sloppy workmanship. Dumping over 2k on this guitar and being American made I was thinking I was getting a better quality. My MIJ Strat I purchased new in '87 puts this guitar to shame. Not impressed with their quality control. Mine looked like a factory second you would find on sale at Guitar Center for 50% off. They suggested that I take it to a local Fender warranty shop but after dropping that much money the last thing I need to do is waste my time and gas trooping this thing around. Buyer beware...their quality control has really dropped.
Well that is suprising and not good at all. I got nothing to complain about that guitar, everything is great and feels amazing luckily. The quality control is actually good on mine. However, that should not be happened. Nobody should experience that kind of issues about a guitar which you pay 2k...
There’s lots of evidence that suggests Fender never did ‘proper’ Nitro since the early 60’s at the very latest. As well as lots of reports of finishes being all over the place. If you want a guitar to ‘age’, just got to not look after the guitar and play it a lot. At that point, the type of finish doesn’t matter too much, just Nitro is softer.
The ‘61 is considered the ultimate Strat
I ordered mine last week , with a set of Seymour Duncan single coil staggered pick ups. Just for a bit more punch for playing blues / beautiful guitar
Great guitar...
Great amp sound...
Great playing!!!!
Great playing and a beautiful guitar. Love it in Olympic White with the mint pick guard. Its such a classic look.
You are selling a ton of these. Great playing. 👍

The guitar sounds great
What tube amp are you using ?
Thank you! I used Fender Blues Jr IV in this video.
Nice! What string Guage is this???
10-49 was the stock strings on it, I use 11-56 Daddario

If you play it enough, you'll need a fret job, then it can be shaved to the perfect 8inch😁
What amp is this running into?

Thank you! Yes, I basically ended up not screwing too much, just to fall it back.

The av ii collection has tons of qc issues if you look around. Disappointing
@@1148bucknasty damn. That's too bad.
What’s the deal with the nitro finish? I hear some people say it isn’t a ‘real’ nitro.. will this age the same as others?
It’s very glassy and won’t be aging like real vintage guitars I think but who knows, we’ll see…
@@can_bayoglu thanks!

It's polyurethane sprayed with a single coat of nitro.
