🙏 for you Mr. Apter sir. There are few who have seen and documented so much of professional wrestling. And prayers for Howard Brodys family. 🙏 pardon my spell checking was not working 😕
Howard was one of my closest and dearest friends. He helped many, many people in our business and was never mean spirited or vindictive. Those of us who knew him, know the true magnitude of his loss. Sheldon Goldberg NECW
mr. apter, allow me to introduce myself, im james. i was born in 66 . around 1974 i started going to the tulsa matches. i was exposed to all of those mcquirk and watts promotions. inside wrestling and the wrestler magazines i purchased every new addition that came out. now fast forward to present day post kayfabe. here are the things that i recall . articles like body slams and pinfalls. why they wont let andre be champion going down the highways with mil mascaras without the hood on , toll both attendant didnt realize that mil was in front of them. oh yeah this is something else. i first saw the stars from other promotions come to life from just your photos. black lanza, all the managers, bruno , the tied dye superstar billy graham, ray stevens, blockwinkle, gagne, ox baker, dusty, patterson, i never knew what they sounded like since we didnt get those guys on our tv . murdock, kox , spoiler, akbar, orndorf ,blair , patera, dibiase, grizzly, haystacks, I grew up at those matches, . your pictures tought me the figure 4 leg lock . ernie ladd i asked if wrestling was fake, his answer was perfect. frank brody walked up to me out back parking lot , him and kevin von erich , he came up to me and held out his hand and said hi im frank. what a nice man
This is why we need more wrestling historians, to teach us about this figures we're losing.
That's why I listen to Cornette a lot. He had a great knowledge of wrestling history
R.I.P. Mr. Brody. No one in the last thirty years cared more about the letters NWA
RIP

I'm so sorry Bill. You have lost many friends this year. I pray that you receive the Lord's comfort during this diffucult time.
Sad we will never get to see his shows from florida from the early 2000s
