So the main difference is that the Aluminium one buzzes more easily with less force right?
Does it means that the aluminium ones are more responsive?
    Which one have less resistance?

I bought an SM solo mute, half aluminum and half copper, with the idea of the best of both worlds... have you tried something like that?

Just ordered a copper bubble mute. Very excited!

Amazing! I love how stable the blow feels on it. I’ve not strictly been true to my word from this video and have bern using the copper one for all my gigs including in section in the big band. But It’s only been jazz gigs so far, I haven’t used it with my Custom LA set up yet. Got a show in a few weeks so might experiment. What set up are you using with the mute?

@@duncanfraserjazz I'm playing a Conn 22B New York symphony with a Schilke 14 mpc with a KGU booster. I play in a section in a brass band, though I might stand out if I'm the only one with a copper mute (visually I mean) so I'll probably carry on using the classic Harmon there and save the bubble for jazz. Honestly can't wait. The intonation sounds so much more natural. Totally love your content btw.

@@blow-by-blow-trumpet Nice, sounds great. I give it 10 mins with the new one before you decide to be the black sheep in the Brass Band and go copper bubble anyway!! Thanks so much, glad you like the content (when I actually manage to get it out!). Feel free to reach out on socials/emails anytime for advice/opinions or even to show me the new mute in action!

@@duncanfraserjazz Oh man it arrived today and it's AMAZING! What a sound! With the plunger in the projection is ridiculous and the sound full fat. Intonation below C is so much better than with the traditional Harmon. Even though you mentioned it in this video, the weight took me by surprise. My Conn has a gubbins (technical term) on the main tuning slide to switch from Bb to A, so it is already somewhat front-heavy. Also the early 22Bs had no pinky ring so all the support has to come from your left hand. Luckily a have developed a very strong left wrist so I think I can cope with it. It just sounds too good not to.
