I am massively thankful or everyone that had contributed for this handstand series, i started my journey with the HS in 2020 and my life has been very dynamic and chaotic in the last 2 years, i have stopped the exercises and restarted from diferent points according to my slow progression a couple of times since then, sometimes 3 or 4 months without practicing. But now this 2 years and all this struggle i'm happy to say that i got to get on the stage 3.
This is the best HS progression i've ever seen, you guys are great teachers and i thank you all.
PS.: I also got very inrested on start climbing influenced by you guys hahahaha, when i get the oppotunity i'll be on the walls

So helpful! I need to start working on these again. That floating feeling when you’re holding a handstand is awesome.

what i see most tutorials skip is that your HANDS play one of the most important roles in balance. your hands should never be stiff AND should never have all the weight on one side. for example, balance on the hands requires shifting the weight from your palms to your fingertips. youll understand this once you start to see your hand shaking/moving back and forth to maintain balance on the upper body. yes hands help maintain upper body balance, but your lower body's balance comes from your core, not your hands.

Really like your tutorials! Thank you for the content! I am doing ok balancing from the fingers, but am having trouble feeling more helpless when I get overbalanced towards the palms, any tips for that balancing adjustment?

As a beginner, how often do you recommend to practice handstand drills? Is it possible to train for 6 days without fatiguing the muscles?

its so nice to see approaching climbing with movement perspective. i am currently working both on gymnastic strength and climbing. i train for strength about 5times a week, and 2~3 times for climbing. i also include handstand routines in my daily workouts and can do free handstand for about 30s. my question is that nowadays i feel a lot of stress in forearms and feel like getting damage in forearms more than recovery. im sure i didnt give you much informarion on my current status but roughly how do you manage your traning ratios between climbing and strength?

That's a pretty serious training regimen. I used to train with a pretty high frequency as I was doing gymnastics, hand balancing, and bodyweight training prior to starting climbing. The more committed I got towards climbing the more I had to back off (reluctantly) from the other movement practices. Right now I climb (including climbing specific training) 4x a week, do upper body conditioning (combo of barbell bench, gymnastics rings, and misc bodyweight stuff) 2x a week, lower body conditioning 1x a week (barbell squats and deadlift), and run 2x a week. I'm not practicing handstands as frequently and just try to incorporate it as skill practice for 5-10 min right after warmups. Clearly the priority has shifted to climbing, but I can still set some goals for weightlifting, running, and bodyweight skills. Using a 6 week training mesocycle helps as you have a timetable for loading, periodization, and deloading. Also, rest days are super important, as is getting proper sleep and nutrition. Strongly recommend the book Overcoming Gravity if you want help with structuring training programs. Good luck!
