How does Gerhard Steenkamp get an 8 and Frans Malherbe get a 7? Frans is one of the most underrated players. Almost never gets penalised in the scrum, definitely holds his own against all the loose heads, makes tackles. The only knock on him is that he doesn't carry the ball much.
5/10 means you didn't have any impact and 4/10 means you actually made a negative impact he didn't do much but he didn't cost them either 2/10 means you cost the team single handedly

I want to believe Ox and Frans were both outstanding in this championship. Both showed excellent skill and power. I would love to see Louw from the bulls get a chance in a Springbok jersey. Could possibly be the two strongest tight head props operating in tandem. I however do not want to take anything away from Vincent's great efforts.

For that performance I'd give him a 10/10 but for the whole RC, Manie gets a 5, because he didn't get actual game time. He would've played in Cape Town if Sacha only disclosed his injury, but Sacha didn't want Manie in the team.
I knew the Mannie rating would be biased, but an 8/10? More like a 6. Kicking aside, he’s good, but not great. He has standout moments for sure - great vision. But he’s not an 8 (yet). Fassi in last test played well in 1st half a 8. Second half a 2 - disaster made 5 handling errors braking the momentum. Four times joining backline to the left 2 knockons, also lost ball forward, and then totally miss-passed Arendse. Dropped ball forward from Argies cross kick.
Pollard 6. Fails as playmaker. Kicked poorly in first match against Ireland. Kicked all his points and second game. Did nothing else and we lost. Kicked a poor try line kick off drop down the throat of Irish fly half which led to first drop goal

I kind of disagree he makes a huge impact on the rugby pitch he has an engine that never dies some people even say he does not get tired because it can be the 75 minute and you will see psdt playing like it's the first minute putting in strong tackles and carriers , these days he has even been in the wide channels but that does not stop him from playing to his absolute best and putting in the effort and psdt is a big guy and quite frankly he isn't as fast as people who usually are in the wide channels but still he'd does not get tired and keep putting amazing kind of acting like a 3rd centre, and even in the scrums when he played in 5 Daan human even joked saying he should play a prop with his scrumming .
