Wow. There’s so many layers to this video, if I named them all, my comment would become a Novel. To put into a shorter description, I think you did a phenomenal job. The voice acting was on point, everyone knew their assignment and did it well. The confidence and chemistry between the cast can be felt. The writing and jokes were on point, I laughed a few times and I was so engaged I didn’t even realize it was 13 minutes long. The comic art mixed with custom made art meshed well together. I really enjoy your portrayal of these characters, espio is quiet, But still sometimes shows his over confidence/ego. Vector is your classic simple minded loud guy, who lets his desire for money and cream’s mom cloud his judgement, but he’s honest and his heart is in the right place. Charmy is that young chaotic(hehe) energy, mixed with being hyper and naive. As for Cream, very fun idea to give her the “quiet and friendly to her friends, assertive and intimidating to her enemies” Trope, and I think it suits her well. Also love your portrayal of the hooligan crew, with fang and Bean having a very tense back and forth dynamic. So in conclusion, great voice acting, writing, character portrayal,jokes, references to past skits, and attention to small details about Sonic’s world. I’d say this skit is outstanding. The effort and quality is definitely there, and the editing was good enough to keep the feel very snappy and not feel like a drag to watch. Overall a strong return and I hope to see more. You and GoldN have been killing it, I’m so excited for the future of the comedy side of the sonic community. It’s definitely been lacking in new ideas and fresh faces for a while, but 2023/2024 has been a great change of pace. keep it up man ❤️
Oh wow...that's a lot to digest. I never get any comments that go this in depth, so first off I wanna say how much I appreciate you taking the time to express your thoughts! The idea here was to fully move into that cartoon feel, cuz I always get comments about how my voice acted videos feel less like skits and much more like cartoons. Though not entirely there, I think it's a strong step into the right direction. I'm really working on my editing to make these skits more engaging. And yeah, I agree there's a lot of staleness in the Sonic community, even beyond just comedically. It's always been my goal to throw my ideas into the ring as I've been a Sonic fan all my life. In fact, this skit was purely derived from me wanting to see lesser explored characters in skits. The Hooligans and the Chaotix have always been some of my favorites, so I'm glad I could do them justice! I'm so proud of this video and everyone who worked on it! I could just type a comment like “this was really good, nice video” or I could just quote 1 joke I liked and call it a day. To me it’s better to describe what I liked in detail, and break down the difference aspects it takes to make it. I know effort goes into the videos, it’s takes time to get the right people make the editing just right, think of good enough jokes, write lines that contribute to the narrative, ect. So if you’re putting that much effort into your videos, why shouldn’t I do the same for my comments. By going into detail, I give you(the creator) a better picture of what I(the fan) enjoys and wants more of. While I get why people keep comments short, for me it doesn’t add anything to the video.
