Fast Kairuku Taming Guide :: Ark : Survival Evolved Tips and Tricks

This video is a thinly veiled excuse for me to upload another cat video. Kairuku aren't a big deal to tame once you know how, and they offer very little utility once tamed. For example, penguins offer a small amount of cold protection. They also have organic polymer as a drop.
You wake up in the middle of nowhere, maybe it's a beach, a mountain, a forest, or a jungle, but it is no place that you have known. There is a strange device implanted into your arm. Welcome to the ark. The place where long extinct creatures eat you while you feebly try to survive. This series is my attempt to show you little things that will help you flourish.

Man why does the cutest thing have to have one of the main resources you need late to endgame. I feel so bad breeding them just to chainsaw em down. Obsidian is a pain to farm so with this im able to farm other resources.

For me, penguins take way more damage than that their torpor is going up. Plus it lowers so fast. It's almost impossible to knock them down...

PRO TIP: Everyone thinks crossbows are not viable for taming things with low health, but the reality is that you are shooting your arrows too fast! Crossbows do 200% torpor of the weapons damage% as soon as the tranquilizer arrow hits, and then another 250% over the next 4 seconds. So when you are taking something with a crossbow, it is not only good to count to 4 before shooting your next arrow because it allows you to do less damage to dinosaurs, but it also saves tranquilizer arrows.
