This hits hard
Jay had litte to work with and did a fantastic job producing. The Japanese producers were incredible too. This was such a "done on the fly" thing. I re-wrote this song and sang it in the studio in one night. Never hearing it before ever. We also had no background training on GG or what anything meant. We didnt have back story or pics of our character's either. But to be honest I did know it was a dude reading a letter that a chick wrote to him. Thanks for listening.
Man, if this really is you on the vocals, I wish you could've done the vocals for all the tracks. The other guys take some getting used to, but you the tracks such good justice

We literally spent a week in the Studio. I know what you mean on some of them. But the three that I sang, May's, Baiken's, and Johnny's theme, just needed to be less lyrical. When all of the original lyrics were translated into english then jammed in the song, it sounded ridiculous and less like a real song and more like a cheesy nintendo rushed song. trust me. Dark7Knights1, Thanks for posting this and other GG tracks from 2004. You must like them if you posted them, and I appreciate that. We worked hard recording these songs and know that there are fans out there somewhere. Life goes by fast and you have to cherish these moments and memories. These songs are special to me, and always will be.

Thanks for noticing. I thought it was one of the coolest too. Personally I am in Love with Baiken's Theme. I had the most fun recording that song, and writing out the translations. It was some hard core dark rock. Just to let everyone know, My band who I will not name here, is working on some brand new Video Game tracks for some very big games at the moment. I get an early The Offspring vibe off of this. I like this.
I had to learn how to like the song by itself. Don't really find the lyrics appropriate compared to the original song, but it stays to the beat, and that's a big plus. Awesome guitar work. After a couple of times on repeat, it wasn't so bad. Not gonna beat the original Japanese version any time soon though.
As with a number of these these vocals I think the English and Japanese Versions sound entirely different, like 2 different songs entirely, especially this one, and also Holy Orders, I might want to listen to one or the other....

@Urumaka Only characters shown directly in GG2 are Sol, Dizzy and Ky. Dizzy isn't playable and is an NPC. May's captain of the Jellyfish Crew as shown from the drama CDs. She's likely still alive during the events of GG2. I-No is killed by Baiken in AC I believe. Those are the only confirmed things that happen by GG2. I personally wanted to know what happened to Bridget, I hope nothing killed him.

Ok, after a few listening, I change my opinion...a little.
This is different from the originl. Since the guitar shold be the main instrument in daisuke's song, I think that the best way to made vocals is to follow guitar, but...
Also I have to admit that this is not completly bad.
Still, without the vocals is quite better.
