Awesome day Bill! That one smallmouth was a tank! The steelhead seem to be hanging around late this year. I love this time of year when you never know what you are going to catch!
Bill brother it was nice fishing with you…This morning I went fishing same spot and I got couple good ones fresh Crome. See you brother sometimes next season
That's the big creek in May...shoulder to shoulder. Should be steelhead in there until about June before their numbers really drop. I was out on my boat on Erie in the early morning on 5/4, limited out with Walleye (even though the bite has been slow so far for many, mainly due to the warmer water temps) in less than 2 hours, then moved spots and reeled in four smallmouth in the 4-pound range to finish the day. Great way to round out May the 4th! Great outing on the big trib for you, Bill! The chrome carp get feisty when the water temps warm up!
ha ha thanks man ✌️maybe not that late this year for Steelies with water temps in mid 60s already 👍i got to try walleye jigging soon - more fun than trolling
@@BillMikesAnglingAdventures Jigging is the only way I catch them (well, dropshotting as well when the bite is tougher). The only drawback to jigging is occasionally you'll get death threats from the trollers running 100 ft of line behind their boats when they pass by 5 ft from where you're anchored or spot-locked jigging, when their lines get tangled up.
Looked like you were in a tournament, Billy. Never seen so many guys fishing the big creek. Glad you were able to land a few nice steelhead, great way to end the season.
Hey Bill fantastic late season steelhead action - congrats on a great mixed bag day! Hard to be slamming steelhead in a tee shirt in May!!! Thanks for sharing and tight lines my friend! Captain Zac
Ever eat any of those erie smallies or dont eat anything from that lake? Inquiring minds want to know. Went out to a small finger lakes trib yesterday and caught 5 bows. All jacks 14 to 18 inches but, better than nuttin. Good luck to you, have a great summer.
Multi species of a day . Heads up to you catfish are starting to bite out my way. Not many in numbers but size makes up for it. Nothing over 20. Biggest around 16 lbs. Rest 10 to 14 lbs. Need warmer water to get them going good. No skunkin
