@@sherekhan4726 yea not only that, the amount of cars and tracks that they managed to put in the game was unheard of especially during the ps2 era. It was the epitome of simecade track racing games.

Hi mate, i'm using Direct3D9 (Hardware) when view the cars list (u can use OpenGL but it'll impact a lot of ur FPS). If you're using NTSC version, dont forget to enable the (480p) Progressive Scan to avoid 'Start Race' lag spikes and to get more sharper graphic.

I personally miss Evo 5 rally car in GT4.
I want to see the Formula GT with the 1-speed transmission from the Benz Patent Motor Wagen and no other changes.
Unlike Gran Turismo 3 didnt race with rally car on road but GT4 can race with Rally Car on Road Track just like a Touring Car Race alongside with Tuning Car in GT4

I'm waiting for my PS2 in the post, got a copy of GT4 ready and ready for a whole new experience with the Logitec GT4 Force Feedback wheel and pedals. Not too costly, and it's a brilliant game, looking forward to it!

@@ryadhasanahmed5443 I was born in 1985, so I've played through the Atari 2600, SNES, PS1 onwards with other consoles in between, and might understand where you're coming from...
To have a game finished, with no updates, no install times, internet connections, dodgy online players... Just keeps things simple. The 90's was better in that respect.
I've thought a lot too about multiplayer races through LAN recently, and I think that's where I'd like to take my gaming, as well as revisiting some old single player campaigns.

Something Im dying to understand.. you're clearly running the game at HIGH blending accuracy right? the shadows, colors and reflections tell me that... so why is it that I get 8FPS when I browse cars on a RTX 2060 and even less GTX 1070... PLEASE. I am dying to know because OpenGL blending is tied to the gpu only pretty much

I followed all of the settings on the description, but the GT4 i’m running still looks like shit compared to yours. Anyone knows why?
If you can't play it on an emulator, play it using the original PS2 hardware. It's like they say: Nothing beats the original.
I buy the gran turismo 4 in 3 times for play in my ps2 and dont read the disc 😢, i try in another ps2 and dont read this game, only this game 🙁

6 cylinders? Not when Group A regulations roll in.
2.6 liters? Banned during the Group A rallying era.
One does not simply convert the Skyline into a 2-liter 4 cylinder car just for rallying at that time (even the SR20DET is too underpowered for a 2-liter 4 cylinder turbo engine (its max power was 250 HP compared to the others' 280 to 300-ish)).

You forgot to include Bentley Speed 8 LM, Mazda 787B, F1. They're the best rally car in GT4

No save file needed. Just keep collecting the cars in GT mode (which also includes one-time prize cars) and they will ALL be saved to arcade mode.
