Wow, the commenters below sure are friendly! I came here to learn something. Many people seem to be more interested judging this woman's public speaking style. Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.
I think the comments here are part of a coordinated attack from personal enemies of hers. She wasn't that bad. Turning around all the time to see the projections caused her to lose track of where she paused in the text . That's all i.m.o.
Sure, a bit stilted, but interesting information, and great to hear about the experiences of the Miller family who lived in the Saarinen "Miller House". The 9-square grid is also found in ancient Chinese esoteric architecture (Feng Shui), and relates to how we experience space psychologically.
I think she would have had it easier if she had been placed in such a way that she didn't have to almost turn completely around. Her text was too technical to be spoken easily. I had to take a break from her, but I will go back because I'm mad for the topic. I live in Kentucky and the Miller house is on my to-do list.
Example of when a complex article is not edited to be an effective public presentation. She reads too fast and needs someone else to be in charge of the slides. She comes off as a writer out of her comfort zone, unwilling to edit her own precious article. Also for the sake of continuity she should have just stayed with the Miller House.
"She has Ph.D..." Ha, laughable! Suzanne, I seriously thought you were on MTV's "Punked" or some other show that makes fun of someone butchering the English language. This is a must watch...
These are all the famous well published architectural history images. We’ve seen these all many times. Lots of words and way too few images that are large enough to see the details. A poor presentation, visually.
This was wonderful and we are all lucky that it's available freely for our education and enjoyment.
"An architectural Rashomon" is a brilliant concept and structure for this talk. Well done.

Obviously, they have missed the point of the lecture....

More photos please.
Bring back the conversation pit and atriums. And stonewall fireplaces.😊
Not the best speaker, but I still got enjoyment from the Architecture.. :)
Too bad the camera wasn’t focused completely on the screen behind that awesome speaker. 🤷🏼♂️

OMG! This lady was (seriously) fired after this, correct?

I'm very sorry but this is very poor.
I really hope she’s as horrible at speaking as everyone in the comments is saying
What a bad speaker!
