  • In part 2 you will see more hill climbs, tricky tracks and a lot of snow fun. We end this part with a talk about best moment of the day. Enjoy
    Finally another Offroad Saturday, and this time with some snow. Me, Erik and Ørjan go offroading with a Defender 110, Range Rover Classic and a Discovery 4.

      Hey and thanks! Really appreciate it! :) We are keeping the cars as original as possible and keeping the cars street legal, even the tire size within the legal 5% size limit. :) The old LR's is proven to be such amazing off roaders and we love going out there and having fun. More to come. Been filming a lot this spring and it will hit youtube during the summer months. PS: Just checked out your channel and subbed, love your approach to restoring. Real and honest. 😀👍

      @@DarrenCoull Thanks for the nice comment! :) We alle prefer the slow and technical and thinking about the cars well being. We are more overland than off-road and we have to drive the cars back home again. :) Some nice overland video series on the channel where you can see how we combine the two in one trip. :) Thanks for watching! 😀👍

    Not that i could ever afford it but i love the Defender 110,but i've seen comments on youtube where a Discovery is better! That Classic Rover V8 though... My dad used to have one in Mauritius,and it was awful,though fairly comfortable,but barely anything worked on it,but indestructible when it got going,which like this one here,not always,lol

    • @LandRoverDrive

      They are all great, but all very different. It's hard to find a favorite one because of how different they are. If I could I would own them all but I'm super happy with the Defender. The RRC is built up from scrap parts so Erik has done a really good job with this one. Really special going on trips with him and his RRC. 👍😀

    "No Spare Tire" ua-cam.com/video/oq5SQt-ta7s/v-deo.html Psst, It's on the roof. If the lump of rubber and metal on your roof are no good then your adding a lot of body roll for nothing. Just a thought, nice video.

    • @LandRoverDrive
      @LandRoverDrive  5 років тому

      Aaa, subtitle confusion. Ørjan, driving the D4, didn't bring a spare with the same Ko2 tire. 😀 And body roll, we discussed this today and you are right! Also the snow was wet and really heavy, which added to the roll you saw. And his springs are soft, on purpose, to get the great offroad capabilities it possesses. 😀 We were out today, with now snow on the root, and it was much better. Still soft and rolly, but much better. 😀 Always glad to get tips and feedback so thank you so much! Glad you like the video!!! 😉

    As nice as the V8 sound is, I would probably pick that Defender 110. I absolutely fell for them a few months back and even this TD5 can make some mean sounds if you tinker a bit with the exhaust. Also love the Disco 4 but if I were to buy one, I'd go for the latest SDV6 with the 8-speed ZF.

    • @LandRoverDrive
      @LandRoverDrive  5 років тому +1

      Hey, I would love to get å Defender with a V8, but as you say, the TD5 can play some awesome music too. 😀 When it comes the the SDV6 it sounds amazing, runs so smooth. But for offroading/overlanding I would have gone for the D3 late model and spend the rest on gear and mods. 😀 Thank you for you feedback!

Sorry to bother you again but I will be in Oslo on Thursday 17th and Friday 18th January so I wanted to ask you if you had any recommendations for any potential opportunity to go off roading either as a passenger or as a driver? Would you know of any local LR branch or groups that would be near Oslo? I know it's a bit of a wild question but it's worth asking in case there are a few LR nutters dying to have a weekday blast! ;) Thanks in advance for any tips or ideas you may have! Tsak!
