It's not what you think it is! Loud LUXURY is the next biggest trend and it ISN'T ALL ABOUT LOGOS! Let me know what you guys think and if you prefer quiet luxury, loud luxury, or a combination!
I love a mix of both! Quiet with a "pop" here and there is my personal fave. I also want you to know that I've been watching and following you for a little while and you/your home has become my inspiration to (slowly, while working on a budget) makeover my entire home! I had been in to the "coastal grandmother/modern-ish coastal" decor (no, not with seashells and gift shop decor lol) with blues, greens, sandy colors etc. But after watching your videos, I have thoroughly annoyed my husband with my shopping habits lately! NEW EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE! He told me the other day that "we don't need anymore decor pieces or furniture right now... And STAY OFF AMAZON!!" 🤣🤣 So, thank you for your inspo! Your personality and the love and passion you have for the beautiful things in life is contagious! I look forward to watching your new posts and get so excited with new content, so thank you again for doin' what yo do 😘🥰
The mood board in my head for a concept of loud luxury, Velvets, leather, cashmere, a moody and smoky vibe, a rich navy, charcoal grey, chrome/gold accents, iron accented with gold, an object or piece of furniture with studs, mirrors, and a touch of lavishiness in sconces/chandeliers and tall fancy glass vases.
Oooh I love both. A loud logo belt paired with a simple outfit. Or an amazing stand out sculptural piece surrounded by minimalism and a monochromatic color scheme.
I love big and bold! I'm ready to take down a painting that's over my fireplace for a much taller and bolder look@ I am a lot like you! I pretty much agree with everything that you have and ❤️
I love very simple minimal pieces with loud pieces mixed in, it just livens everything up and makes it all so interesting, bringing it all together with the tension of opposites. Glad to see some bold colour being used as well as interesting and unique pieces.
All my lamps are made of solid marble, alabaster, genuine crystal solid bases, and both of my ceramic lamps are Ralph Lauren…and I bought them all from HOMEGOODS/HOMESENSE!! Loud luxury can be done with budgeting, driving to different homegoods stores, and being picky with what you bring home. All my throws are 100% alpaca from Peru and I have a few all from homegoods lol
That hair and makeup! Sooo flattering on you. You look like a runway model. This is such a gorgeous look for you Valentina. Never, never go back. And btw, you look 30. Seriously. 🩶🤍 Much luv from NYC xx
Your excitement and energy show this is really where you feel 'at home'. First thought: oh no, 80's power shoulder pads are back. Second thought: I could see myself borrowing a few ideas from this, but to live in this all the time would be over stimulating. Edit to say: This is the continuation of people wanting to be unapologetic about their own style and expression. I see it as a continuation of the effects of lockdown. People began to explore who their authentic selves were because they got that break from social pressure and this just feels like a natural flow on from that.
I definitely love touches of loud luxury! My problem is that the architecture of my house doesn't go with my interior design taste. My home's exterior is craftsman, but my personal taste is organic-modern-traditional. I know, that's pretty eclectic - I just don't like craftsman. However, I don't want my interior to clash with the exterior. I'm trying to figure out how to make this work without major renovations because it's simply not in the budget. I LOVE your home - if i could select, copy, and paste, I totally would.
I turned 50 last year and with my kids grown, I am currently redefining my style (and life). Thank you for such amazing content and ideas! You have given me inspiration to make design choices that I would have normally shied away from. Love everything you do, Valentina!
IDK It's hard for me to imagine loud luxury becoming more popular ...when we are starting into another rescission, and while over on TikTok there's fashion trends being called Poverty Core lol.
The awesome thing about loud luxury is that it can actually be done on a budget as well. Even Poverty core items cost money, why not choose luxury over poverty?
I'm definately loud luxury. I saw a lady with a cream lady jacket and jeans. I recreated the outfit. Then switched it for a hot pink lady jacket and hot pink mules with a rhinestone bow. All my sculptures are different and bold. I don't want to see my things in everyone's house.
Yay "Loud Luxury". I'm 60+ and I'm a Quiet Luxury Momma, and I love a showstopper! What I call the "Dramatical"! Bring it please. Sooo, I don't want a house that's loud. The tear drop pendants or sconces with brass or soft brushed gold finishes. The "Cirrus" pendant from West Elm that looks cloud-like, with matte black hardware. A very organic look that is in yo'face!. Loud and quiet Luxury blended is absolutely beautimous ❤ Thank you for being sponsored by ThredUp. Spending obnoxious money on designer brands, whether one can afford it or not, is not the best way. I always enjoy your enthusiasm Valentina. You're unique, and can be "alot". That is your "Loud Luxury" and you wear it phenomenally well!! Let the haters hate 😅😂They may just be afraid of standing out.
My style definitely used to be more contemporary/loud luxury, but since becoming a mom in 2020, I have been leaning more quiet luxury and wanting to create a cozy “lived in” home.
Yes please, sounds very interesting. I appreciate when you add that there is no right or wrong. It’s all individual. I don’t like judgmental videos. So thank you for that. Even when something isn’t my particular style, I might be able to find some inspiration. But this Loud Luxury is very intriguing.
I love this but what I loved most about this video is how gorgeous, striking, and dramatic wowza you look with that hair colour! Just wow!! I couldn't stop looking at your eyes how they shine with that hair, beautiful! 🤩🥰
Athena Calderone, Jeremiah Brent, Colin King (there are so many) are more my vibe but what I see is that you can very much find loud and quiet luxury in every one of their projects. You can have it all ✨️
It’s just maximalism reacting to all that minimalism we’ve had for so long. Some of those examples were a modern take on Art Deco, which was extremely loud lux. I like it. Each room has a mood. If I want it relaxing then quiet it is. If I want it stimulating, then go bold and maximal.
Appreciate the video. I am definitely not into loud luxury. Minimal luxury/modern cottage is my style. The older I get, the more I enjoy quiet and pared back, which to me doesn’t mean that it’s like everyone else’s stuff ( as one commenter mentioned).
@@HouseofValentina It would be a boring world if everyone had the same style and tastes! I appreciate that you address the various styles and what they mean. It’s interesting, and I learn something new each time.
I like them both!! I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!! Thank you, Valentino... you just dont know how much you inspire me and motivate me! I've done so much to my house using ideas from your videos....
Valentina, your hair makes your eye colour pop, absolutely beautiful! Well, drama can also be elegant and timeless I suppose. I share your passion for black, my home is traditional with beige walls but with a lot of modern black items.
First, your new hair color is gorgeous, almost delicious! Second, you present all design styles so well that you can’t help but at least appreciate each one. And third, YES, no matter what you’re calling this look, loud luxury, it’s always about making your home style inviting, interesting and yourself. It truly does reflect one’s personality. Thank you again.
I think if loyd luxury is done well, and maybe just a puece here and there, it would work. I like the idea of very dark scarlet walls, with a wooden bookcase and leathers, warm and classic. I recently got a large deep scarlet atea rug for my livingroom, and i love it! Its tastefully bold, and compliment s my decor.
I love this loud luxury ❤ thank you so much for talking about it. I have really been trying to find what I like. I really only saw one type style that I did like, organic modern. I was trying to make it my own by doing vintage organic modern. But I think after watching this video, I love this style as well. Love how this room is decorated as well. Also loved the other video I watched where you showed how to update your China cabinet. Always watch your videos and rarely come. But this here was just amazing ❤
So much to think about! I love a rich chocolate brown, can’t decide if I should paint my bedroom walls (London Clay by Farrow & Ball) or BM Swiss Coffee on the walls with rich brown accents. Thoughts? BTW you are looking beautiful!
This is great! After watching you in this video, I decided you are my favorite designer on UA-cam. Also, love the sophistication of what you are wearing.
Your Hair looks so incredible and full of shine..Please do a video on the current products you are using. I will stick with quiet classic luxury as it is timeless and not a trend.
Its funny Valentina, sometimes we think we're the quiet luxury type, then lately I have been more drawn to the bold, and I dislike beige on beige, I need drama!
Oeeeee I need some time to adjust to this idea 😂 All I need now is a quiet, peaceful and calm home with lots of fun, joy, family and true friends. But you, go for it girl ❤
@@HouseofValentina Yes, I am building that style into each of my rooms as I am re-doing each one. Drama is the right word, I think! I just didn't know that was what that style was called. I kept telling myself that it needed more "bling" or "in your face" without the shine or rhinestones!
When I think of Loud Luxury, I definitely think of Kelly Wearstler because while her vibe is artsy and organic everything in her photos throughout her home, you know each item costs a pretty penny .
