Actually, the other song you said that was shocking(Loser, Baby) is also as heartwarming as this one, you just needed context to it, before that song started, it was a heavy and sad episode, and that song was a break from that, just a guy comforting the one who suffered the whole episode, bonding over a shared trauma and learning to love themselves despite the abuse they go through, it meant a lot for a lot of people.

I love this little detail with the visuals cause Hazbin Hotel takes place in the pride ring of hell, Lucifer’s domain. He’s the embodiment of it. But he doesn’t feel pride in himself. He feels pride in Charlie. His daughter who can make her own dreams come true, with Lucifer backing her up and supporting her in every step of the way, indicated in the final chorus where Lucifer’s vocals take a backseat as a lower harmony. It’s beautiful, stunning even.
