MG has unveiled the Gloster SUV and pre-launch bookings are underway. MG Gloster Launch: It will be launched by Diwali 2020. MG Gloster Price: The prices of MG's full-size SUV are expected to range from Rs 40 lakh to Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom).
It reminded like a typical bollywood remix. Bonnet from BMW, lights styling from Ford edge/endeavor, dashboard/grill from audi, side profile directly hijacked from kia telluride, brake lights from GLS 2020. this is just a copy edit paste of famous features. If anyone knows, China has policy of no copyrights, Every famous car is copied and sold there. I admire Audi Q7 or RSQ8 2020 virtual cockpit. Only thing i liked is third row legroom.

I have test driven Ford Endaevour 3.2 Ford endaeovour 2.0 Fortuner New and Old Auto MG Gloster My ranking based on practicality , Features on road and off-road .. 1- Endaeovour 3.2 - Absolutely a delight to drive and off-road except for its 3 rd row.. a beast .. 2- MG Gloster - 2 nd row captain seats adds comfort and features like ADAS system enhances safety. warranty can be extended to 5 years (3 yrs as standard ) .. Service package available .. really an all rounder .. 3- Endaveour 2.0 - Good to drive but the 2.0 engine is a letdown .. Gearbox 10 speed is quite capable .. paired it with 3.2 might have done wonders .. 4- Fortuner - lacks 2 nd row comfort , sunroof ( which might have added to the airiness inside the cabin ) , Engine and gearbox are capable ones .. but features list is very thin ..
It'll smash the competition if priced at par or below the segment big boys - endeavour and fortuner. Just like hector, I expect this car to increase MG's appeal even further. Hopefully it stays reliable in the long term like the competition and have the off-road prowess of both. I know they have advertised the off-road capability but it remains to be seen in real world conditions. God bless competition! Edit - the sluggish gearbox hardly matters as most people will be bowled over by the power figures in the showroom itself. The endeavour 3.2 gearbox was not the best calibration yet it sold well. Also the people calling it Chinese etc etc, so? Everybody knows MG was brought by the SAIC but if the government is allowing them to sell it in our country, then judge it on merit and not it's origins. Stop being pseudo patriots and keyboard warriors, first become a good citizen and then teach others.
Headlights and hood inspired by Mustang. A-Pillar to headlight side profile looks like Endeavour. B-Pillar to taillight side profile looks like Merc GLS. Overall looks a bit beafy than Endeavour. Taillights look like Pajero Sport. Interiors are a mix of BMW/Audi and a bit of Mahindra Alturas. However, despite all the above mentioned inspirations, the product is superb. The third row is the best I have seen in recent 30-40L luxury SUVs. Great job MG!👍

Everything elaborated is quiet good however, the sunroof feature is quiet a waste in India. The only pro of having a sunroof is looks and show off. When you personally own one you realise what a waste of money you have invested in. My message to the consumers of India is please stop rating a car based on this sunroof feature. Because of our demands manufacturers are including sunroof first before even including any additional safety features. Best example is Hyundai Creta who have started including sunroof right from the sx variant. Most importantly most of us don’t even know the true reason of having a sunroof. Getting out of your sunroof during the drive is not really the use of sunroof!! Please research first before you rate cars based on this features.
We have a sunroof in our Creta since it was not much of a choice there, seems okayish though but if there was a choice I would go for one without, the excitement dies down after some days.
True that! Another latest example is kia sonet HTX variant. Instead of sunroof and other cosmetic extras for a premium of 50k, if they had offered 6 airbags, I would have happily paid the premium.
Exactly, 😂 sunroofs are meant for colder countries but in india it is perceived as some kind of status symbol , often finding children or girls who want to look cool sticking their body out (which is extremely dangerous) to flaunt their "sunroofs" which otherwise goes totally unnoticed And just imagine even a car without sunroof boils up so bad under sun, how bad will it be for these sunroof laden cars😂
First of all Telluride and palisade aren't in the same segment as this and hyundai group will never bring those suvs to india cause they won't work in the Indian market.they are only for the American and European markets.
But it's designed in Longbridge,UK and those designs are sent to SAIC ,China which inturn shares those designs with its subsidiaries and there the initial production starts...then it is leaped all over the world under different brands which are owned by SAIC..!!...

Chinese phone are low priced but there vehicles price are similar to others brands. It a fiat engine with twin turbo engine not last for long. Engine will Warn of quickly if it's a 6 cylinder it may keep up pretty good.. They just add one more turbo that's it.
Am I the only one who thinks that captian seats in the middle row are of no use because it makes the car a four seater because last row is as it is not suitable for adults especially for long distances. So why not add bench seat just to make more it practical for a family car

Ofcourse, Gloster has the right ingredients for the job. Why I'll tell you. As we have seen in video they offering very much efficient spec as comparing to others SUV in the segment also it is the first premium SUV in the segment with 7 terrain mode, a big screen, 64 ambient lightings, Auto park assist. As per my according it's a completely beast bas baat hai pricing ki agar 40 lakhs take aati hai toh Diwali mai dhoom macha degi ye gaadi. :)
I like the third row seat MG’s,,I saw the many (SUV) cars third rows seat is Child Seat,but MG is think Different More Spacious,LeG support,cup Holder...etc❤️❤️❤️👌👌👌
In my honest opinion, few things every layman will relate to: 1. Design is too bland. 2. Gloster badging is an eyesore. 3. Truly impressed with the space & features. 4. Ride quality is good on bad roads. 5. Coming to ex-showroom price, it has to be priced below both the fortuner & the endeavour because no way it's gonna sell above 25 lacs.
In order to trump the competition, the Gloster should also get a manual transmission like the segment leader while competitive pricing is surely possible.
It does look like endeavour and or pajero except the front, however, at that price, I'd prefer to buy a quality product, mostly an endeavour than Gloster

The most anticipated SUV by MG Motors i.e. MG Gloster will have the lane departure warning system. These systems generate notifications or alerts if the vehicle starts flinches away from its lane.
Doesn't have enough meat to "make the difference" on the market. During the interior showcase, It felt more like BMW .. ! Well, There's value and no monetary proposition to sum it up. Any segment in India is very sensitive, it's good that MG with regard to this have their fingers crossed. Only Asthetics like road presence and other jazz with a sluggish engine and soft suspension just won't add it up for a compelling buy. I hope MG has developed a good network for after sales and services across India. If it starts from ₹35 lakhs, wishing MG a good luck!

The rear badge internet inside feels like old days ambassador which wrote a c no hand signal. Too silly.
In my honest opinion, few things every layman will relate to:
1. Design is too bland.
2. Gloster badging is an eyesore.
3. Truly impressed with the space & features.
4. Ride quality is good on bad roads.
5. Coming to ex-showroom price, it has to be priced below both the fortuner & the endeavour because no way it's gonna sell above 25 lacs.

It does look like endeavour and or pajero except the front, however, at that price, I'd prefer to buy a quality product, mostly an endeavour than Gloster

And though the Gloucester has 19 inch alloy wheels it couldn’t give me the kick which I get from the endeavour and the Fortuner.

Arjun Kore even after spending 40 lakhs you will be doing chindi chori of saving 1 lakh in your lifetime by service costs , re sale etc and buy the lifeless fortuner , typical Indian mentality can’t really change it that’s why fortuner internationally even compared to Everest or pajero sport because it’s considered low class than its rivals

The fortuner may be a good car, but for 40 lacs it's interiors and features are comparable to new 5 lac cars, and that's just bad.

The most anticipated SUV by MG Motors i.e. MG Gloster will have the lane departure warning system. These systems generate notifications or alerts if the vehicle starts flinches away from its lane.

Well, There's value and no monetary proposition to sum it up.
Any segment in India is very sensitive, it's good that MG with regard to this have their fingers crossed.
Only Asthetics like road presence and other jazz with a sluggish engine and soft suspension just won't add it up for a compelling buy.
I hope MG has developed a good network for after sales and services across India.
