Thanks for sharing, I’ve been obsessed with T floors since seeing them in my 60s built highschool. So cool. Doesn’t seem too terribly expensive. Life goals.
Very informative video on this process! I’m building a 55’ X 60” shop and this finish is exactly what I want. Where do you source the diamond grinding pads and what grits do you use?
You guys are good with your work, when I come home will definitely contact your office to see how its will cost me to build my dream house or apartment, hope I can afford your company 😀
Gifty that is my thought, no family member just give the whole build to them to sort out... a littke scared about possible cost as their finish is always perfect
Would have been beneficial to mention the finished surface need to be sealed and also mention the extra processes needed if u desire a glossy look. Great video
I didn't hear you say anything about applying a sealer to the surface after finishing the grinding process. Isn't that a normal practice and important step to help prevent staining and make the floor easier to clean?
Please im hoping to use you guys for my house in the next few years... if you can talk us through the process on one of your videos... as in I already have the land... and an idea as to what i want to build... how the process will be like and the house would be funded by investments... interest so construction would be in stages... looking forward to the video
It is relative. In some instances, tiles may be more expensive and in others terrazzo. Also the cost of the tiles you choose will also affect the cost. We will be doing a video on this in the coming days with a more comprehensive breakdown of the two.
i does this job,the mix gets dry quickly if you dont pour enough water.that means it will be difficult for you to level up when rolling since the cast will be dried up or can cost you alot of time
@@TimKollat the water is needed for the cement to make a proper bond...it also aids in the curing process ...water pulls it together as it evaporates.. Terrazzo artisan for 34 years

The cost is usually dependent on a number of factors. In some cases, tiles will cost more and in others, terrazzo. We will be making a video comparing the two and which one would be good for you in some time to come. Stay tuned
Yes, the work can be redone. The only issue would be to break the floor to remove the old terrazzo work and then redo it. The terrazzo is quite hard so cutting it is a job in itself.

I’m confused. I though moisture was the number one enemy for terrazzo flooring. Also those measuring lines in my opinion are unsightly. One uneven surface / finish would have been great. Apart from that great job and presentation. Thanks
I was always curious on how these type of floors were created. Love it because it's solid and will last the test of time.
Hi, great video, what is the thickness of the terrazzo?
Absolutely beautiful floor! I love Terrazzo!!

Beautiful work and amazing explanation. The aggregate used in terrazo floor are they granite or marble? Which is better? Thank you
Terrazzo mostly marble chips and you can use glass chips and mother of pearl for accents...
Marble is better... grinds more evenly... granite is too hard
Does it need to mix with sand or stone powder?
what about drying shrinkage and slab curling ?

nice work. But doesnt all that water flooded before pouring the terrazzo make the mix weak?
i does this job,the mix gets dry quickly if you dont pour enough water.that means it will be difficult for you to level up when rolling since the cast will be dried up or can cost you alot of time
Cement actually dries harder when it’s very wet. The water cures the mix.
@Thoughts 99 the more water you add to cement the weaker it becomes
