OMG…if you’ve never listened to That’s Christmas To Me, don’t wait til Christmas!!! Just be prepared to curl up into a fetal position (with Slappy of course) and whimper…lol! In my opinion, one of their MOST underrated songs…should be a Christmas Classic…I know it is for me!!!
Agree with you Tim. That's Christmas To Me is just beautiful!! I used it as the backdrop audio for my Christmas post and I plan to use it again this year.
When Scott talks about Pentatonix singing Telephone, he isn't talking about the video you saw with the trio, he is actually talking about PTX because that's the song they did for their Sing-Off audition also, there's a video for Somebody that I Used to Know
The song Scott was singing that you were questioning what it was, was from the broadway musical, Chicago. It was The Cell Block Tango. This was really fun. I hadn’t ever seen it. Thanks!! 💕💕
In my opinion, "That's Christmas to Me" is one of their most beautiful Christmas songs, and that's saying something! Get out the tissues, though. It's gonna get you in the feels.
Aww, yay! I love when reactors watch games and interviews and such! Wait, 50% of your watchers are subscribed?!?!? That's freaking HUGE for a reactor! The usual subscribed seems to be 10-30%. The fact that you have so many (including me, I rarely subscribe to reactors) is a huge deal. Well done!
The “Somebody that I used to Know” video was when they were just starting out and it was one of the videos (along with Evolution of Music) that went viral and got their name out there. Oh and I also got chills when Mitch started singing That’s Christmas to Me ☺️
Makes you appreciate them even more. They're stripped down talking like a friend would talk to you. Thank you for reacting to this one. That was from the movie "Chicago," when you watch Ghost Hunting from Superfruit there's another "Chicago" scene they act out.
There's a video of them singing Telephone at the Star Vista in Singapore, at the same concert where the AHA video that melted your brain was, and it's just as epic. It's a jet-lagged, red-bull-fueled Mitch encore. It's great. Also, I really think you would love checking out the PTXperience videos. IT's basically behind the scenes stuff from their tours and music videos and stuff and their personalities really shine like they do in this one :)
PLEASE do That's Christmas to Me!!! You will love it!!! Have tissues handy. And Slappy! Lol! I loved watching this with you! It's easy to see why Pentaholics are so passionate about these guys!!
They kept many a pentaholic sane during the lockdown of 2020. Home EP, videos, and things like this were great to come home to after working a long days running a grocery store during the lockdown.
Songs mentioned in this that they have done that you should eventually check out. If you haven't already.. -My favorite things -Say Something -That's Christmas to me (original song) -Sing (original song) -Take me home (original song) also part of their Home medley since I know you watched a private performace of this. (The whole Home ep is worth checking out). -Seasons of love -Telephone with Avi and Kevin added -You and I (part of superfruit's lady gaga medley) -Pentatonix counts to 5 on sesame street -also the song with 5 you were trying to think of is four five seconds, which ptx also used to do in concert.
This was fun….have you seen them do the ‘How well do you know your band mate’ video? Think it came out just before they released The Lucky Ones, still mid-pandemic lockdown. Get to see them interacting thing to guess answers to each others questions.
I love this one, all of them just casually being incredible like it's no big deal. Their game, interview and vlog type videos are my favorites because it really shows their personalities and quirks. Like Kevin being incredibly wise, Scott frequently being unable to remember lyrics, their passion for music, and a thousand other things that make me love them for way more then just their music. It's so cool that the subscribed viewer count is 50%, I've never heard another reactor say it's that high before! Just shows how awesome you are.
The first time the 5 of them were in the same room together was the day before the audition for the Sing Off. Since they already had Telephone arranged for the vocals they added the bass and beatboxing to that.
Hello Saucey Dad. Love those statistics. Subscribed, watching, commenting and the bell is on!! Not missing anything! Love the introduction to the game - love Mitch's response to describing the task. First time seeing this one - games are fun and PTX sure know how to have fun. You still have to react to PTXs cover of Seasons of Love and their Sesame Street appearances. That's Christmas to Me is an absolutely beautiful PTX original and the video is wonderful - won't say a word about it - no spoilers - but you have to react to that - no need to wait until December. Mitch singing those lines just brings it all back!! Scott's last song that you did not get was from the musical Chicago - swept the Oscars one year - with Catherine Zita Jones, Renee Zellweger and Richard Gere! Thanks to Crafter for requesting this - fantastic to hear PTX sing and laugh and share words of wisdom.
I couldn’t agree more and have said so…lol! Another Christmas one that I find myself turning to when this cruel world disgusts me (which is more often than I care to admit) is PTX with Mitch in the lead singing Frosty the Snowman to the children at Christmas Under the Stars. Not only is it upbeat and beautiful, to me, the most BEAUTIFUL thing about it is (no matter if it will eventually be seen and heard by millions) there is NO DOUBT who they are singing to!!! Those children are their entire audience…just classy and heartwarming.
@@timcaldwell5241 Yes, yes yes...PTX singing Frosty the Snowman at BYUTV Christmas Under the Stars was so beautiful. Sitting around with the kids looking at them enjoying the singing. Mitch doing the lead there in Frosty is superb, his vocal perfect and smooth, and even though he was singing it looked like he was just having a gentle conversation. @@timcaldwell5241 For sure PTX Christmas songs are the gifts that keep on giving. I just played That's Christmas To Me....in April....why.....just because...it is so beautiful. Maybe I will play I Saw Three Ships tomorrow, or Come Along so I can dance.

It is so nice seeing all of them in their comfortable relaxed atmosphere sharing their thoughts and feelings about parts of their journey and experience. Another great reaction! Thank for doing what you do.
I believe Pentatonix used Telephone as their audition song for the Sing Off. There should be a video of it somewhere. Also, Somebody That I Use To Know is a great early early cover.
Loved this thank you for reacting to it I love how you smile as soon as Mitch comes on and you will learn further down the line that Scott doesn't have the best memory when Comes to lyrics and songs lol 😂

It was at the first scheduled mini-tour about a month after the Sing Off ended. ua-cam.com/video/uTwDXABZFXk/v-deo.html Absolutely excellent performance. The biggest difference (other than adding Kevin and Avi) was that they unleshed Mitch's high note. They weren't able to do that in the High School version.

As others have said, PTX sang Telephone when they auditioned for the Sing-Off. Honestly probably a big part of why they did that is because they already had done a lot of the arrangement of it as the trio and the group only met together in person for the first time the day before auditioning. You can find videos of the PTX arrangement from tour performances. This is a pretty good one, I think from the same show as the Break Free/See Through performance you saw ua-cam.com/video/TzAe1lREAJ0/v-deo.html

I would give anything and maybe I'll make it my Patreon request but there is another thing they did like this that was shower singing (EDIT: I just went to look for it and it isn't up anymore on you tube.) and they were all fawning over Mitch and they all said they would pay any price for a ticket for a shower concert from Mitch but Kirstie was the ring leader. In case you haven't seen it yet there are several interviews where Kirstin and Scott say they almost stop singing when Mitch hits a high note like in telephone...they have to come back in as soon as that note is done and they have said sometimes they have almost missed it. I can send you a really good one. If you read this comment please let me know bc I also DMed you like 4 links on Patreon of them singing as their younger selves bc you said you wanted to see it. Also sent you the link to superfruit reacting to their earlier performances. I'll put the shower link in there as well.
I subbed A LONG TIME AGO. I have the bell on. Anyway, you are doing great. 50%??!!! Many have only 14% subbing. Kirstie loves her dog, Floof. She has three dogs, actually.

That as fun to watch again. Thanks for reacting to this Pentatonix video. Since you liked this one, you will probably love the video "Pentatonix Plays 'How Well Do You Know Your Bandmate?'" Please react to it when you get a chance. Link: ua-cam.com/video/E2AFtAa9S20/v-deo.html

PS: Somebody That I Used To Know is one of their first budget-friendly vids. 🔥
PPS: SF’s Gaga Medley is also 🔥. Don’t think you’ve done that one yet.
Do you have enough vids on your list yet. 🤣
Go back and check out Somebody That I Used to Know. It’s very early in their career and it’s great. You’ll hear a VERY different Mitch from back then!
I bet they would have been tied for first if they had Matt. But even down a member they came in second. The only word I had trouble with was (place).
..... Matt is there?
It's just that Kevin didn't come up with a song with change on it. I can't blame him. It took me more than 10 seconds to remember "Take a chance on me".
Sorry, stupid bell doesn't work. I have you bookmarked. Kickin' It Old School, as Home Free would say.
Really l9ve your reactions and i think around your eyes and you act like ryan reynolds. Come on people subscribe
