IAS Vlog 50 || STEMS - A shared commute system for students

STEMS (SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORT AND EFFICIENT MOBILITY SOCIETY) is a society incorporated by the Government of Meghalaya in 2022, to revolutionize the way people commute by leveraging modern transport solutions that are safe, sustainable, efficient, and cost-effective. The objective of the society is to develop and implement transport solutions that can enhance mobility, reduce congestion, and benefit the environment by reducing emissions. In this vlog, I explore how well these buses are working out for our students. We encourage more schools and parents to consider this option to reduce the vehicles on the roads.

We need it as student going to tura from around 30 km away to schools and colleges

Some STEM buses take a long detour instead of a straight one. Children spends a long time on journey which makes one opt out of it.

What I feel is sharing a school bus with other school rather very difficult for the students because the timing is different especially when the school is over they have to wait a long time and reaching home late. I rather suggest one school bus for particular school would serves better.

Im so glad that i have opted for Stems for my daughter....the service is excellent right on time,the caretaker does his job so well and kudos to the bus driver who can manage to drive in the narrow jampacked roads of Shillong.!!
