Tj's argument is misunderstood. Yes Ronde does belong in the HOF because of his incredible stats. However Ronde, like Richard Sherman, primarily thrived in a zone system. So yes if made to play 1 on 1 man to man with zero help he probably wouldnt be a HOFer. But he was terrific for the Tampa 2 system. An outstanding open field tackler. Could play boundary, field CB and nickel/dime/ safety positions. Also could rush the passer. Made plays all over the field.
That’s obvious. But, his argument isn’t being misunderstood, he is saying he doesn’t belong there period .We can run stats all day, and ronde will probably beat a lot of those corners by a long shot. They never said he was a shut down or the best 1 on 1, no one is comparing him to Ty, Rod, or any of them… just as an individual, he IS A HOF.

Ronde had the production expected out of him and revolutionized the nickel position by making his presence felt on both the run and pass game. TJ Houshmandzadeh is a NOBODY compared to Ronde.
