Get tired of hearing people whine that he isn't top 40...the man gets to write and play as sees fit...the type of people who want to hear him will hear him,,, the people who listen to top 40 can't comprehend this kinda music anyhow...Keep doing your thing brotha.
I sure hope he doesn’t sell out into the likes of mainstream music but I didn’t like hearing his music over the speakers at Tractor Supply Co. then just after that I was at Cabela’s and they had Sturgill on 😔 grrrrr I was upset!
Yeah, I heard the new one and came back to the good version. I'm sorry, I was one of his biggest fans, but his music lacks something anymore. The last two albums have been so disappointing for me. I was stoked when he announced he was releasing an album version of "Help Me Make It Through The Night" but it was a let down. Says something when I'd rather watch a version shot in a bar with people talking in the background to a polished, studio cut
My favorite Tyler song is always the one im listening to at the time. This guy is just flat out amazing...cant believe ive missed him for the better part of a decade...Imagine seeing him in some back in the day tiny little venue...
Hello I really do appreciate you for being a big fan, thank you for your wonderful comments on my post,it really means a lot to me.I sincerely hope you never stop listenin to my music….Love ❤️
Actually makes a lot of sense. He's actually said he stays away from Nashville so he can stay home and he is fully immersed in everything, so when he rights him music you really feel it. You feel the emotion, you feel that he means what he's saying, something I love about tyler
Frank Clifton really ?? Hes so beyond that. But ...do you not know Loretta . Ans so on and on!! Hes way to good for average fame and it takes a certain understanding to appreciate those that truly move you with their gift!! No? Enjoy my mountain kin
I think he will be. In just a year since you wrote that he has kind of skyrocketed - still within a somewhat narrow genre but it's pretty amazing what's happened so far.
I know this is cliche any every major fan of someone says this, but Tyler Childers has wrote songs that have carried me at my lowest through multiple points in my life, weather they were written 10 years ago or yesterday. Every couple months I find one of his songs that resonates so well with me, my feelings, thoughts, and life at the moment. This man isn’t just top 40, he’s top 10 in my book. One of my favorite artists ever. Cheers to you Tyler🫶🏼
I felt that in my soul. I've lived and seen more at 30 than most men have at 100... And that's why Tyler is my favorite artist today. He is one of the only musicians I feel like can actually relate to old soul's like ourselves. You can just tell he's been there and lived it too.
His mix of Kentucky bluegrass and country is better than any artist out there right now. Hes twice as good as Luke Combs or Morgan Wallen. Haven't seen such a unique lyricist and great vocalist in years. Any poor country boy or guy whose been in a tough time can relate to his music. Comes straight from the heart.
Anyone else notice the subtle smile when he sings "thinking about the way we met, a girl home from school, and a boy, just passing through"? You can tell that's a real memory.
These red barn sessions are some of his best work, certainly of the live variety. Sue me I love all his shit, recent works included. I understand he's in a better place now, which obviously affects his music, and I'm glad. But man, the vibes here were insane
Agate white wedding dress turquoise on your ring. Upright bass violin as you walk the aisle to me. Beautiful lyrics. This man is a very talented wordsmith Keep em coming brother !!!!
These are my favorite lyrics of this song as well.. He paints such a beautiful picture and his words just invoke soo much emotion, absolutely beautiful.
How could anyone listen to this and not be touched in some way.. let alone thumbs it down. This dude is one of the greatest and most authentic doing this thing and we are blessed to have the opportunity to hear it.
Underrated comment. Ol' Uncle Ott now he once told me, never sleep alone on a cold winters night. Get you a wife and have a family, and you'll be warm for the rest of your life. Goose Creek is good shit. Glad to know they're still appreciated.

Hello I really do appreciate you for being a big fan thank you for your wonderful comments on my post it really means a lot to me.I sincerely hope you never stop listening to my music❤️
You're one of the most soulful artists I've ever heard, just keep doing what you do, the people who are meant to hear your music will!! We need more people like you singing songs for sure!!!
This song omg ! And forgot to mention that I love how he plays the 🎸 . "We we're both flat our starving " each lyric wow wow who lived hasn't lived this ? Weren't we all young and hungry ? What a song ! ❤❤❤
Been listing to Tyler for quite some time now, I hope and pray I can one day start my car and a song by him would be playing on the radio .. Tyler you sing and tell stories the best way possible! Everyone thanks you for blessing us with what you love to do
I was just introduced to his music and wow, I love this. He has heart, soul and sings what life really is. He has something most people don't understand. He just has that voice I could listen to all day. Harlan Road is my favorite.
Hello I really do appreciate you for being a big fan thank you for your wonderful comments on my post it really means a lot to me.I sincerely hope you never stop listening to my music❤️
Back about seven years ago. I moved to paintsville ky and this young boy came up to me sitting on my skateboard playing my acoustic. It was one of his cousins. Him and his friends was shocked I didn't know the name. I was a city boy! Now my heart's in the hills.
I found Tyler’s music this month and he was in town in April…..man I was just a few months late. Such Gold and legendary artist. I’ve been learning his songs on guitar these past few days and it just wonderful.
Tbh I was heavy on the blues, then I started covering A lot of Neil young songs to get used to cowboy chords. Then I started listening to country to learn more about country tunes and licks this year and got into LukeCombs. I started following a UA-camrs name Riley Taylor who does covers and one of his cover vids was Tyler Childer-Feathers Indians and when I heard the tune I was hooked, and I’ve been jamming Childer heavy these past few days. Just bought two of his albums yesterday haha even tho I have Spotify I like to buy CD n vinyl if I can find them. So yeah, now I’ve been learning Childers Tunes. Which has really improve my chord progressions also. But I’m glad I found Childers music, I love it.
I find myself singing this song out of the blue all the time. I think that is what makes a song great. If it inserts into your life with your input, then its destined for greatness.
Anyone who says that is insanely out of touch. This shit is as country as it gets. True singer songwriter country western tunes. He's strayed a but from this sound but still writes incredible music
The way he paints a picture in your head as he’s singing is true talent. When he’s singing about her walking down the aisle, it gets me every time. God bless you Tyler.
Tyler’s RedBarn performances beat anything that has made mainstream for him. Waiting for an album that showcases him and Senora; country music requires a great reset that only they can provide.
I'm born and raised at the foothills if THE GREAT SMOKEY MOUNTAINS AND TYLERS music is true to the life I've lived!! A TALENT WELL BEYOND HIS YEARS!! WILL BE ON MY "BUCKET LIST" TO sit in his presence as he sings these stories that exubes LIFE!
Hey Tyler. Coud u please record this. This is the song I play every mourning at 5 am. When my feet hit the floor right. Just before I go underground. From a southern wv by God coalminer. Thank u for the real music. From all us coal miners
This music isn’t for everyone because not everyone understands what he is saying. If you have never struggled, loved, lost, hurt, or had to push though times you didn’t think you would make it, you won’t get what he is saying. His music and lyrics are raw, real, and unapologetically in your face truth about real life.
Wordsmith is a great way to put it. Keep up the great work Tyler. Cant wait to get off work every day, zip home, and rock your tunes. Great work. See you in Portland in November! Cant wait
The story telling artists are dying, such a shame the best type of music that has ever been introduced to this world. Nothing is better than a man telling his story through the hardships of life and sacrifice. Tyler is what is right with this world.
Hello I really do appreciate you for being a big fan thank you for your wonderful comments on my post it really means a lot to me.I sincerely hope you never stop listening to my music❤️
My ex and I used to listen to Tyler together and I haven't been able to listen since we broke up (its been a long time) and then I saw this song got released on the twister's album so im back. This song is still so beautiful but it means something different to me now. It hurts but in a good way. ❤
Hello I really do appreciate you for being a big fan thank you for your wonderful comments on my post it really means a lot to me.I sincerely hope you never stop listening to my music❤️
I have been saying this. I could literally listen to Tyler Childers all day, everyday and just with his beautiful voice alone would never get tired of it. But throw in his amazing lyrics, old soul, and just his whole vibe....I've been obsessed since I found him 2 years ago and I'm sad I didn't find him sooner.
I just found this guy last night! And the thought of catching up to all of his music thrills me!! I've been listening non stop whenever I got the chance to! This must be my best find of 2019!
one of the very best iv ever heard he sings from his heart and it shows i recall when my dad would play and sing when i was little and how it made me feel thank you tyler good work son
Hello I really do appreciate you for being a big fan thank you for your wonderful comments on my post it really means a lot to me.I sincerely hope you never stop listening to my music❤️
Saw Tyler at Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa about a month ago. It was nothing short of impressive, and I was nothing short of tore up. The mark of a real soul, he was out at the bars after the show drinking with his fans. The man is a true showman, and truly one of a kind. God bless.
There's not one song of his that isn't good - and I have now listened to most of them. This guy is just outstanding, an outstanding songwriter and singer.
He tells such a wonderful story, his voice is unique, you can tell he is singing from the heart and clearly has a passion for this. I haven't been able to find another artist quite like him yet, and I search all of the time.. While I have many artists I like, and are in the same genre of new-grass / Americana / alt country, whatever you want to call it, nobody compares imho.
I've now heard the latest version of this song and they are both great. I have to say I like the stripped-down version better. It's because I always lean towards acoustic and left! Keep the great music coming our way, Tyler. Burlington Bill busking on the road and here on you tube.
I love his music cause I lived it and I’m a 71 year old lady from Philly. Hope he stays true to his roots and don’t go mainstream an’ all like most of them country singers. Man, i wish I could’ve seen him at Red Rocks. Maybe I can see him if he comes back east again. Missed him in Philly cause of Covid cancellation
Hello I really do appreciate you for being a big fan thank you for your wonderful comments on my post it really means a lot to me.I sincerely hope you never stop listening to my music❤️
I haven't written a song in years, or a decent one ever. But this man reminded me why I love music in the first place. What a voice. That is authenticity.
Who else is excited to finally get this released 🙌 🎉
Yessssss!!!
Right, on the Twisters soundtrack. I was looking for the album version.
what do you mean?
Do what???
It is ?
Get tired of hearing people whine that he isn't top 40...the man gets to write and play as sees fit...the type of people who want to hear him will hear him,,, the people who listen to top 40 can't comprehend this kinda music anyhow...Keep doing your thing brotha.
inthewoods Well said. Childers ain’t mainstream, I mean he wears workin boots not pretty boy cowboy boots. His viewers shouldn’t be mainstream either.
inthewoods well said.
Preach man
He'll never be mainstream, if we're lucky. That would ruin everything.
I sure hope he doesn’t sell out into the likes of mainstream music but I didn’t like hearing his music over the speakers at Tractor Supply Co. then just after that I was at Cabela’s and they had Sturgill on 😔 grrrrr I was upset!
Who still listening?
Ya boy
still here
Yup 🎉
A lot of us
yep!
Who else is here after listening to the official release?
New release cannot top this one !
Haven’t heard it.
This has always been one of my favorites!
I had to show my wife, she thought it was new! I said no you need to hear it how it should be!
My favorite Tyler song is always the one im listening to at the time. This guy is just flat out amazing...cant believe ive missed him for the better part of a decade...Imagine seeing him in some back in the day tiny little venue...
I can’t get over him. I’m obsessed. Every new song I hear by him I’m pulled in deeper and deeper. Thank you Tyler
Same here
Meghen Elise Agreed. He's absolutely the real deal. He's the ultimate antidote to the commercial swill being peddled by Music Row and Clear Channel.
Me too I think my family is tired of hearing him haha never.......my absolute favorite all-time singer-songwriter Tyler Childers
I was having a I really rough day a few weeks ago and I said I need music. Turned on Tyler and I felt so much better
Yikes... Look out, guys, Meghan's hiding in the bushes with a voodoo doll and a sharp knitting needle 😟😲
“We were both flat out starving for something worthwhile to lose” man that lyric is amazing.
Hello I really do appreciate you for being a big fan, thank you for your wonderful comments on my post,it really means a lot to me.I sincerely hope you never stop listenin to my music….Love ❤️
Who else loves his music because they've lived it ..
I listen to all kinds of music this is just amazing I cant stop listening I walk around with shake the frost in my head all day

Actually makes a lot of sense. He's actually said he stays away from Nashville so he can stay home and he is fully immersed in everything, so when he rights him music you really feel it. You feel the emotion, you feel that he means what he's saying, something I love about tyler
Amen brother.
Tyler Childers is our Bob Dylan of this era I swear. Keep up the good work Tyler. Proud of you.
I thought the same thing. Tyler's performance is brilliant.
Alan Kumashiro Reminds me of Croce a lot to
Dwayne Likens check out Benjamin tod of lost dog street band. Incredible songwriter.
Dwayne Likens too fuckin’ shae.
Bob Dylan and a modern day prine, he’s an amazing story teller!
Tyler Childers is the greatest secret to Americana music. I don't understand how he is not completely famous.
Frank Clifton really ?? Hes so beyond that. But ...do you not know Loretta . Ans so on and on!! Hes way to good for average fame and it takes a certain understanding to appreciate those that truly move you with their gift!! No? Enjoy my mountain kin
Michael McNeilly dude, he’s so fucking good!!!
It's country not "americana"
I think he will be. In just a year since you wrote that he has kind of skyrocketed - still within a somewhat narrow genre but it's pretty amazing what's happened so far.
“Americana ain’t no part of nothing” Tyler Childers
I know this is cliche any every major fan of someone says this, but Tyler Childers has wrote songs that have carried me at my lowest through multiple points in my life, weather they were written 10 years ago or yesterday. Every couple months I find one of his songs that resonates so well with me, my feelings, thoughts, and life at the moment. This man isn’t just top 40, he’s top 10 in my book. me too :) tyler is a gift from God
Came back after seeing this is finally getting released on the Twisters soundtrack
Yassssss
As old of a soul as there is. 29 going on 129. How someone writes this and Shake the Frost at 19 years old is beyond me.
I felt that in my soul. I've lived and seen more at 30 than most men have at 100... And that's why Tyler is my favorite artist today. He is one of the only musicians I feel like can actually relate to old soul's like ourselves. You can just tell he's been there and lived it too.
Welcome to the club 35 going on 146 lol😂

Who’s still listening and loving Mr. Childers??
yes sir
I’ve came back to this song hundreds and hundreds of time. Just a masterpiece
Anyone else notice the subtle smile when he sings "thinking about the way we met, a girl home from school, and a boy, just passing through"? You can tell that's a real memory.
I love watching him reflect at times like this.
astute observation..
You here hungry and I was too. Now in my 50’s with 3 kids and a beautiful wife. Line hits hard!
Gosh I had zero idea he made this back in the purgatory era! Tyler never fails to sing exactly what we’re feeling 🫡
I want this man to make it BIG.. but also want to keep him our secret for as long as possible... ya feel?
The longer he stays out of the mainstream the better he'll be. If Nashville ever gets him it'll ruin the music
Yes Yes YES!
Shhhh, 🤫
Exactly. I remember when there was 300 views on white house road. Bitter sweet. At least he's eating good now
Ya
He has made it big lol
These red barn sessions are some of his best work, certainly of the live variety. Sue me
I love all his shit, recent works included. I understand he's in a better place now, which obviously affects his music, and I'm glad. But man, the vibes here were insane
who else listening in September 2024?
Agate white wedding dress turquoise on your ring. Upright bass violin as you walk the aisle to me. Beautiful lyrics. This man is a very talented wordsmith Keep em coming brother !!!!
A master word smith
These are my favorite lyrics of this song as well.. He paints such a beautiful picture and his words just invoke soo much emotion, absolutely beautiful.
"Wait, is it your or you're?"
Red Barn Radio, titling this video: "yes"
I can't unsee that now, thanks for that🤣

Thank you for the chuckle
My guy I been listening to this for years and never caught that lmao
Wow I have never seen that until now!! Thats years of my life you've taken now
Dear Lord, thank you for Tyler Childers, Amen🙏❤
How could anyone listen to this and not be touched in some way.. let alone thumbs it down. This dude is one of the greatest and most authentic doing this thing and we are blessed to have the opportunity to hear it.
Tyler, please record this one!
Your wish came true today
Discovered him this year “2019” his voice is hypnotizing.. respect ✊🏽 from a Navajo from New Mexico.
The only real music I have heard in my 33 years. Old soul, keep singing.
Larissa Muncy Come on now, Goose Creek has to qualify in that category too!
You may want to check out Steve Earle and Townes VAN Zandte.all 3 from the same cloth.fucking perfect
SpacedOut2U white buffalo
Underrated comment. Ol' Uncle Ott now he once told me, never sleep alone on a cold winters night. Get you a wife and have a family, and you'll be warm for the rest of your life. Goose Creek is good shit. Glad to know they're still appreciated.
Don't go buying no one's answers if your question was for free.....31yrs old and love some Goose Creek!
Tyler. Please release this the exact way it sounds here. Perfect.
Everything this man does is gold.
Up in your nephews room
Playing on his cousins guitar
I wrote a song for you
You have done drove off
Everything I need
My box & my tumbleweed
I picked it up on the way
To Flagstaff years ago
I was hanging on to everything
You had the grace to show
You were young
& you were hungry
Lord knows I was hungry too
We were both
Flat out starving
For something worthwhile to lose
You were my bread
& I was your honey
Up against the dark red wine
Trying to hold on to the lovely
Through the bitter of our times
Looking over the hill
At the lights of your hometown
I wrote this song for you
Thinking of the way we met
A girl home from school
& a boy just passing through
I got a job as a cut man
At a house just down the road
I had never been to town before
& I didn't know a soul
I was young
& I was hungry
Lord knows you were hungry too
We were both
Flat out starving
For something worthwhile to lose
You were my bread
& I was your honey
Up against the dark red wine
Trying to hold on to the lovely
Through the bitter of our times
Agate white wedding dress
Turquoise on your ring
Upright bass & violin
As you walk the isle to me
I was young
& I was hungry
Lord knows you were hungry too
We were both
Flat out starving
For something worthwhile to lose
You were my bread
& I was your honey
Up against the dark red wine
Trying to hold on to the lovely
Through the bitter of our times

Thank you
“Trying to hold on to the lovely through the bitter of our times” oh my that is amazing.

It's because only the shit gets airplay. You can thank Music Row
Why would you deny a great artist the fame and fortune he so richly deserves? Just so you can feel superior for your insider hipster status.

I love these RED BARN videos. I love WATCHING Tyler perform.!!!! I watch all day.!!
I've lived it from Oneida to White House road, All real I feel it. Thank You
Pure. That grabs your soul and gets the blood flowing like a wildfire.
He is amazing because not only is his voice by itself incredible, but he lets the guitar tell the story as well
Absolutely beautiful "Trying to hold on to the lovely.." Beautiful

Such a criminally underrated performer
I have been saying this. I could literally listen to Tyler Childers all day, everyday and just with his beautiful voice alone would never get tired of it. But throw in his amazing lyrics, old soul, and just his whole vibe....I've been obsessed since I found him 2 years ago and I'm sad I didn't find him sooner.
Listening since 2016...… Great job Tyler.,. You and the food stamps are always heard
I just found this guy last night! And the thought of catching up to all of his music thrills me!! I've been listening non stop whenever I got the chance to! This must be my best find of 2019!
Such a beautiful song. I just love everything he does.

Truly astounded by this young man's talent, a true old soul is living in that young man.

Finally can listen to this not on UA-cam! 🎉
Saw Tyler at Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa about a month ago. It was nothing short of impressive, and I was nothing short of tore up. The mark of a real soul, he was out at the bars after the show drinking with his fans. The man is a true showman, and truly one of a kind. God bless.
I saw him in Toronto Canada awesome show he is a beaut
This man has a voice straight from heaven, i can honestly see his wings
man, 8 years has been a long time. excited for this to finally get an official release!
Can't. Get. Enough!!!!!
Jason isbell
Agreed, I jus listened to 4 of his songs in a row and I've never heard of this guy
I'm out of the office? What is the best way to do this is not the case and what time since I've seen you in the loop
There's not one song of his that isn't good - and I have now listened to most of them. This guy is just outstanding, an outstanding songwriter and singer.
When he smiles singing “lord knows, you were hungry too,” 🥺🥺💜 2:45
What an author with a gift for song. Amazing
This guy makes me cry. I cant help it.
Johnny Schmidt same man.
Im not cryin youre cryin....😂
I think you have a lot of company ..he music is very touching because it's so honest and real and many people relate it different levels I believe.

He's famous now! Try to find tickets to his shows
No that it’s officially released it’s crazy to see how far Tyler has really come ❤
He needs to release this on an album, ASAP.
I haven't written a song in years, or a decent one ever. But this man reminded me why I love music in the first place. What a voice. That is authenticity.
great tunes out of ky
Stumbled onto Tyler Childers, "Bottles and Bibles", today. Where the heck have I been? Love this guy!
Still better than the twister version in my opinion 🔥👌
#1 now and i dont reckon i can recall someone in my lifetime of music listening that has deserved it more
Honest! Passionate, what else do we need?
It’s finally back 🎉
He's the best to come along since Keith Whitley. Absolutely love this kid!!!
This song is finally about to be released im so excited
