@@michealallen5792 thanks man
@@ImStokze Morning sunshine
Bidding ends 22 March hope you win and do the car justice and make a good video on it 🤞🙏🏼
Probably need another 2 spare metros to make a decent one lol , gd luck to the buyer needs loads of time and patience to restore this lot. . Great new direction for your channel stokze👊
Nice to see you out there again!😊
Remember someone I used to work with , bought an MG metro like that one brand new back in 88 , too look at them now in that condition just makes me realize how bloody old I've gotten 😢 , I'd bid on the jag myself ( but I can't afford the divorce!!)👍
This was great! Nice to see you laid-back and not rushing the video with time for lots of info for anyone wanting to bid. Great idea 👍 hopefully you’ll find many more collectors like this where you can film and help the auctioneers!
Win win 👍👍
Glad you’ve managed to secure a really good permission based explore where you don’t have to creep around on tender hooks. Really pleased for you Stu!
Looking forward to part 2 STOKZE !!!!!.
Love the Turbo Metro we have a Gold vandenplas , and it’s my favourite motor.
Aah the memories. I spent the late 1980s selling Austin rovers. So, the blue Metro. This car could well be a genuine metro turbo or metro mg. The big giveaway is the instrument cluster which has the red trim on it which was only on the MG versions. The turbo first came out in 1984 (B reg) and soon switched to the facelift front for the 1986 model year (launched late 1985). What is unusual is the colour which is not a contemporary Austin rover colour. Early turbos could have been moonraker blue but the car here isnt that colour. (Incidentally the turbo body kit was fitted to the Metro GTA from the 1989 model year. That car was a hodge podge of parts with the MG spec engine, turbo body kit and city X interior trim. It was meant to be a sort of competitor for a Fiesta S or Nova SR. The turbo kit could be bought from the parts department.) regarding the white turbo, i nearly wept when i saw it, i had several as demonstrators they were great little whizzers. The faux walnut on the dash has been fitted by someone after the car was purchased as that trim was never fitted from the factory. Its from the Vanden Plas version of the Metro. Wish i had the spare cash to buy them and breath life back into them. The turbo must be one of the rarest cars from the 80s by now.
Excellent vid again buddy such an amazing piece of nostalgia there love keep up the vids peace ✌💯👌
Absolutely brilliant video stokzey ❤️ 👍 waw they defo need to be saved and such low milage I always liked the red carpet in those metros brilliant

Like a 🐷 in 💩 watching this I was! Perfection. So glad you are getting recognition and permission mate, as we know you’re not too keen on the sketchy locations. Might have a cheeky bid!! 🤔
Love the dashboards on them mg turbos ,great news your getting permission based visits ,keep it up b still youtube gold in my opinion
I loved my MG Turbo back in the day. Remember doing 2 x 180° spins in it.
I was glad to see this video because i was getting a bit worried after last weeks somewhat quiet weekend. Back to your best though buddy 😉👍
Haha! cheers brother 👍
Cool little collection, Maestro looks a decent thing! Ex farmers car 🤣🤣🐑 Metro Turbo needs saving!! Great video 👌

Great upload and really great vehicles! Super happy this location worked out to be such an easy get for yah. Hopefully they will continue working out like this in the future to alleviate some of the headaches you must deal with. Much appreciated sir!!!
Brings back fond memories of the mg metro turbos I had 😍
Good video again mate. That maestro was in great condition
My second car was a metro turbo lookalike😂 1 ltr of pure power 😂 it's how I learnt never to use the brakes just foot down everywhere
Memories used to own a metro turbo and also put them together at rover longbridge in the mid 80s happy days
That metro turbo, she needs saving, I know its got some bad bits but overall not that bad, definitely a save stu bit on it, we would all love to see you bring it back to life 😢😊👍
That wood trim was not standard someone has put that on , my favourite cars mg metro turbo had a 1983 mg metro back in the day but always wanted a black mk1 turbo , great find again love your work
I had a D reg metro MG turbo back in 99 my first car😍👊🏽
F69HGY mg metro turbo was my first car! Good times! Great vid 👍🏻
Excellent job on showcasing these cars and all the details you pointed out. Awesome you were given permission to record these cars and link to the auction. All the best my friend 🤠🌲🍃
Hey stokze, thought id leave a comment, i managed to save a Dimma Peugeot 206 WRC spec'd car that was rotting away on some ones drive for over 10 years, finally got it back to my house today and have already started on the restoration, if it wasn't for this channel i would never have looked for a car to save so wanted to say thanks and say, you keep doing you bro!!
Another great vid 👌 do prefer the sketchy locations , I feel I’d be like you a bit nervous and on edge looking around. Just my preference it’s all about the cars 👍
Nice one Stu 🤜🤛
My brother had a metro turbo when I was a kid, it said turbo on the steering wheel but not on the seats like that one, unfortunately car when scrap engine in the mini now, one day hopefully get round to finishing the mini turbo
Nice one stu, that white mg metro turbo that would be such a nice restoration project 👍
You are so like The bearded explorer as good 🙋♂️🧠💪🎥 nice video 🎥 Nath 🤝
With having permission let’s you get more in depth. I suppose coz you’re not looking over your shoulder haha.
Metro heaven there mate 👌🏼
Another great video stu I had a metro turbo but sadly it was crap lol
But I've restored a few for mates and now worth a few quid now
That blue Metro is an MG ,I've just checked 👍
I had a red metro turbo in the late 90’s spent more time under the bonnet than driving it 🤣
Great video buddy , keep up the good work
Another great video bud, i do like the mg turbo's, they need saving
Wow another great video of classic cars waiting to be loved again hope they get sold so they can be back on the road again
Awesome video do like an mg metro, nice xjs too , really hope that you have more luck finding cars this way could be a total win for you buddy, wishing you the best of luck ,look forward to seeing more soon 👍
Not bad at all😂 it's bloody hen house! 😂
Another very interesting video. Some old cars worth saving there. I hope some of them will find good homes. Thanks for taking us round this location.
Love these metros ,good little cars. As rare as rocking horse sh-t need saving , the white mg metro would be a good donor car for the metro turbo .
Great find Stu, you know what they say, what goes around comes around let’s hope for plenty more permissions 💪
Great finds stu great to see the channel going in a new and prosperous direction
They didn't come with wood trim, someone has stuck it on. Great video.
Love it bud.
About time you had some good luck.
Keep it up 👍👍
Great video stu love the metro turbos must of been such a fun car to drive. Cheers 🥂
Cracking video again maté amazing finds 😊
I had the 1.3 turbo on a y plate. They only made that version for a very short time. Full body kit and alloys and loved watching the boost lights go across the dashboard. A absolute pig to get spare parts, even though itt was only 6 years old when I brought it. Mine was stolen and used in a robbery. The police found it and told me were it was. I hope to be able to drive it but it was a right off. I asked the insurance company to find one but they couldn't find one for sale anywhere in the UK. And they wouldn't get the newer 'MG version' as it wasn't 'like for like'.
I had an MG metro turbo. I fitted a MED 1380 fast road race block in mine. The fuel tank needed replacing, the imperial wheels and tyres were a nightmare so went for a set of metric split rims.
I also had an MG Maestro 2L vanden plas with an annoying triptronic computer
Some absolutely amazing finds Stu 👍🏻
its things like this that will lead you to good places. keep it up mate
hope mg turbo is saved sounded great wen on the road.
great vid boys, nice to see marcus, and i bet there were people screaming at screen for bits off that van
Great video well done
Another great video
I'm sure the blue metro was magazine featured back in the day.
I had a white MG Metro turbo as a courtesy car, from a garage local to me, back in around 1995, whilst they were repairing a mk2 cavalier lx under warranty which I had purchased from them. I strongly remember flooring it in second gear off a roundabout, and thinking “goodness me, this is so slow“ and then, after a few seconds, the turbo kicked in, and put a huge smile on my face….., Turbo lag was a thing back in the day! I’m sure they were really crappy cars that didn’t corner well, but a few seconds after putting your foot down, when the turbo kicked in, they really pinned you back in your seat, …back in the day, that sort of power was incredible…. the special edition of my Cavalier, which was “special“, and rare had 130 bhp/ and that was something to brag about then….🤘
Must be like finding treasure
Great video today stu by looks of it you could make good metro turbo out the three of the metros with min fuss tbh ....never been jag fan but that one looks clean
Evening Stu
Great that you could do this find without been caught or havin to do a runner - hope this ring & ask permission works out for you my friend - take care & stay safe
That blue one is a real metro turbo , I have done a dvla check
Good video
Your the excellence of execution.
I had a MG metro when younger and a Maestro MG turbo. Can’t see there been many survivors as they all liked to rot
Another great video mate keep em coming
There's a location in Doncaster witch could be worth checking out for u I think some one owns them but when you pass what a collection of 90s cars maybe older maybe worth a look for you
LOVE YOU MY DUDE
It’s a MAESTRO!
My first car in 1987 was a black Mg Metro Turbo A400 LAC was the reg
Weigh em all in!....
Hi mate from France i'm 50 it was my first car a grey one in 1994
Brill video. Thanks
Nice early drop stokez,
ya should carry a small jump pack to see if any cars turn over that would be brill
Great video .. an great to see you relax an able to do what you love checking out old cars/barn finds without any worries ... Good way to go about it an hopefully the way forward for you an your channel.. keep up the good work mate..
My first ever car….aged 18 when my father pasted it was his car……and i regret selling it so much…..4 gears with that turbo whistle in 2nd….how i would love it back nowbjt they are so rare, it was the exact same white…..
I drove one of the white mg in the late eighties it was quite pokey for a little car ..till my mate put it in a ditch a week later.
Me to been waiting to see this my god that early mk2 turbo is nice in that spec them wheels wicked it'll have the boost gauge above interior mirror c d,e f reg I'd say don't no why they never kept them 13" rims I'd Like to see them do well and put some more intrest on the mg metros after the ford's are killing it but then my chances of getting one not silly high will be less but good to see them sell and saved motr importently get reckonision they deverse.
Weird but that one only has the overhead clock. The one LCD screen has HRS and MINS. Where the Turbo Boost LCD gauge is usually next to it this one just says Quartz. You can see it really clearly when he’s on about the mouldy headlining. Was the gauge an option to have maybe?
@@Buck3366 no I don't believe it was I went back a few times to see it also them seats are the later ones the blue one has the right maybe ones b4 the head rest changed slightly maybe they've been swapped out like many did or maybe it's just a later f plate. Unless someone knows maybe it stopped before a f reg.
the jag always trouble with fuel allocation and ignition but upgrades are available fuel rail electronic ignition etc allways wanted one but 7 miles to the gallon im not so sure
They never did put wood in an MG metro turbo. That's an add-on by the owner.
Agreed looks like a bit out of a vanden plas model
Another interesting video Stokze but take my advice keep your wallet in your pocket, the white MG metro will be a total money pit and would cost way more to restore than it will ever be worth it’s a boat anchor, the Maestro is a more viable restoration especially with the mileage, the Jag is the gem here provided the engine is good and the hood is water tight if not they rot on the inside too so check the rear floor and boot for rust.
I used to restore cars from the 70’s mostly Triumphs so l know about rust, you might find a hole the size of a 50p but by the time you’ve found good metal to weld to the hole could be the size of a dinner plate!
Agree entirely, he obviously has never restored a car himself & has no idea of the iceberg that lurks beneath or the costs involved.
@@mikeroz6549 Hi bud i'm guessing you're new to my channel, Ive in fact restored a lot of cars, i have a fully enabled bodyshop at my disposal so extremely well prepared to take on the metro turbo, Thanks for watching mate
Hi mate i totally agree bud, i was going to bid a maximum of £1000 for all 3 as that would keep me clear of any deep water issues, but that was my limit, The auction has gone nuts people are bidding like crazy, Good luck to them that's all i can say, The metro would need total resto, And that as you know would be unreal, Thanks for watching
@@ImStokze That’s the thing with auctions you have to set your limit and stick to it, it’s so easy to get carried away especially if a car you want.
Me and a mate had a little business buying insurance write off’s when they auctioned them off, (no we didn’t do cut n shuts lmao ) we just bid on cat D’s light damage a door or wing sometimes just a bumper, tidy them up a bit with a dozer and portapower then sell them on, but later the insurance company’s went over to Ebay prices went silly so we gave up.
l’d love to know what the Riley and Jag went for Stokze any chance you could post the results please?
@@Munter1 Hi bud, yeah we used to do the same, i've bought and sold for over 20 years, used to do the same buy crashed damaged cars, issue now is like you say the prices have gone silly, by the time you've bought all the parts and matched the color panels you may as well buy one that's not damaged, its so hard to compete, the link to the auctions is in the description mate, All the cars are there, Thanks for watching mate appreciate it
We need an update video once the cars have been sold for how much they went!
My mum had a d reg MG turbo back in the 90s. I welded new sills, arches and various other pieces of the floor for its 11th birthday. Spent 8 days doing all the work, only for it to be stolen 2 weeks after I presented it back to mum😡😭
Be sick if the turbo was it the same condition as the maestro.
How come the white metro hasn't got the boost lights under the rev counter? My metro turbo had it, and It didn't have the fake wood trim either but this one has. It makes me wonder if someone made this out of other donor cars. Great find tho and it takes me back to when I had mine.
Your right no boost lights under the rev counter so not a mk1 turbo. Not sure if it's a mk2 from 84 on. Twin Cam channel has a video from 3 years ago, showing an early A reg turbo in the same colour as the one I had but mine was register as a y plate.
No way what a find, and what a shame for these poor cars
Long live the King
Yes bro!
Yabba dabba doooo
❤
A metro turbo came into the garage for a service and i delivered it to the woman i was just a boy at the time and drove an old ford mk 2 consul and when i drove the metro to her i nearly 💩myself when i put my foot down 😳
My mate had the Metro Turbo, whilst I bought a Lancia Delta HF carburettor turbo. Pissed all over his 🤣
I had one of those Metro MG turbo's, which was barely 5 yrs old and it had a hole in the drivers floor?! The drivers seat bent to the right, however, was reliable but by far the worst built car I ever had? I'd had Maestro's and Montegos that weren't half as bad?!
