  • This Tokyo guide for How to Japanese Summer Festival aka Japanese Matsuri is focused on Mikoshi. In this Japan guide, we follow Naoto, a Japanese Man, behind the scenes at this Japanese mikoshi festival called Kitazawa Hachiman Aki Matsuri. We’ll also be joining his Mikoshi team “Shin-no-Mutsumi” in Shimokitazawa Tokyo Japan. This is a Japan Guide as well as Tokyo Guide to how Japanese men participate in Japanese Festivals like Mikoshi and what a Japanese Man would wear like the Japanese Happi, Japanese Obi and Tabi shoes.
Mikoshi, is a traditional ritual held during that happens at some Japanese festivals. Mikoshi is the name of the portable Shinto Shrine that people carry around. Followers believe it serves as a vehicle to transport the God while moving between its main shrine and around throughout the neighborhood and spread its power among the people. Japanese Men and Woment who carry the Mikoshi, wildly bounce the portable shrine up and down with crazy high energy because it’s believed to Amuse the God inside.

@@Jesuscares7680 tbh what is the point to be sad the whole day instead celebrating life, tradition, good company and family? It's something I never understand at our culture, at the point where you can't help the victims of tragedys why you have to punish yourself? push the life into darkness and feel pain? no one will get alive if you feel sad the whole day. No one gets a home back if you sit at your home alone and don't celebrate with your family and have fun. Donate something so they can rebuild or have some food, thats the only help you CAN do, but then why be unhappy?
May I die in a tragedy, it would be nice to think one minute of me, but after that pleeease go and love your life, celebrate, be happy.
