This reminds me when family could watch tv and a parent would not have to worry about the language used, a time when laughter was true and honest. I grew up watching Carol Burnett and many people on her show it was a time of good family enjoyment. I will miss Mr. Conway.
A nice sentiment, but remember, what you saw on TV was sanitized, final edits. Their outtakes (some of which you can find on UA-cam) are considerably spicier...not quite "family friendly" in terms of language. Still, what we saw in the final product on TV was very hilarious. The Mr.Tudball/Mrs . Wiggins skits were probably my favorite on that show.
Robbie Hagberg and I can get a pop up for you and your mom and dad if you want it tomorrow and I can get a new truck or not even even even even even even even even even there in a little bit of time and I can get a new truck or something else and get it tomorrow and I can go back and get it tomorrow
Ahhhh yes, real comedy, without every other word being a curse . -----------RIP, Tim Conway , Harvey Corman, & any other cast members from this wonderful show. --------------------WolfSky9, 73 y/o
Brings back fond memories. Before i started in school i used to quietly sit on couch, hoping my parents would get distracted enough talking and forget to send me to bed. Or i would have to sneak a peek from the doorway so i could watch my favorite show on the old black and white tv. Best sitcom .
R.I.P Tim and thank you, Carol and the rest of the cast for making life brighter! God knows we could use all of you in 2022! The 70s were before TV became hate and propaganda...it was actual magic without actual tricks and ALL live...🙏
Tim Conway was such a superb comedic talent! Half of what he did and said was UNSCRIPTED, and unexpected, and that's why it cracked up the rest of the cast! He had the kind of timing that was inimitable, and Harvey could NOT contain himself, and that made it funnier than ever! When you saw Carol, Vicky or Harvey or anyone with their head down and their hand over their mouth, and maybe their chest shaking, you KNEW they were laughing and that made it even funnier! Nothing like that on the tube today, just shear perfection in hilarity!
The ones when he's trying to speak to her over the office intercom is a must-see as well. And of course nothing will ever beat the take-off on "Gone With The Wind" when she is descending the stairs in her new gown and Korman trying to contain himself from laughing. Classic.
Hands down, some of the best Television.... no profanity. Laughter was true and honest , and shows were truly entertaining. I miss those days, I'm glad it's here to be able to enjoy it.
Well, some programs had canned laughter even back then, but you don't notice when you are laughing yourself! Superb comedy that has no competition today! I still seek out these great old shows on the tube over what they're showing today! Thank God for reruns and taped programs!
These were the best shows. Clean fun!! Wish they had them to replace most of the shows they have now....especially the housewives shows. I grew up watching these shows...this is entertaining 😂
I absolutely LOVE this episode. He thinks he's so much smarter than her & plots to cheat her, but she totally destroys him over & over again. Female justice rules!
@@allamericanwiseass Jeez! I've been looking for this comment, it's a year old & I'm your first thumbs up?!! We can't be the only ones that caught that! ☮️❤️
Wiggins: can I look at the cards? Dealer: Well, you could either do dat or I could show you the rest of dees and you try to figure out what'sa missing.
The way they are dressed and how their office looks, you'd think it was the 1930s in that skit. I saw all these eps when new.He would be a funny boss to have, if you were a secretery.
Actually, Carol Burnett’s character was really quite attractive, if a little dim witted. That hairdo was high-style for many actresses in the 1970s and 1980s, and even some porn stars of about the same era. Put her in a pearlescent dress suit with a matching handbag and shoes and she’d be smokin’ hot!!
Rock Hudson in another episode made out how beautiful she was. I guess he saw the same thing I did. “Take your arm off her shoulder or I’ll take your arm off your shoulder,” was a promise he made to Mr. Tudball so he would comply with his wishes. Carol Burnett, a Texas comedienne, in addition to being one of the funniest ladies around, was also a very stunningly beautiful woman.
Absolutely superb comedy! I don't know why they can't make great shows like that today, but they don't. Today's programs have the "F" and "S" words in every sentence spoken, and they don't even seem to think that's wrong! There is a saying, the more violent the show, the lower the class that views it! So true. I can't watch much of anything from about 2000 on and they don't even rate that stuff "R" or "PG" and even the parental rating has things I wouldn't let my kids see! Humans are too prone to emulating what they see and hear, that's one reason why there is so much violence in our world today!
The reason they can’t make these shows anymore is lack of talent. Back then you had Carol, Vicki, Harvey, Tim, Lyle You also had Lucy, Vivian Vance, Desi Arnez, William Frawly Bra Arthur, Betty White, Rue Mcclanahan, Estelle Getty and so on. Today just didn’t have their talent and their class. Such classy people everyone of

Do tell, what sitcoms or sketch shows now have "bad" language in them? They can't even curse on SNL and that's on late night.
Me too. Rachel the good. Old Days
Something just occurred to me….could it be…….could it be, Mrs. Wiggins isn’t as stupid as we all thought? Lmao 😂
She’s good at gambling and blackmail 😂
Oh no. She's a sharp cookie!
That's always been something I pondered because some can turn being dimwitted on and off like a light switch depending on the situation.
Not stupid at all.
RIP Tim Conway! He was sooo good on this show. Loved seeing him and Harvey Korman together. Harvey could never keep a straight face with Tim. Lol
"I just wanted to wait until your shadow catches up with you" LOLOL They were the BEST!
Two comedic geniuses. 😝♥️
And Harvey Korman makes three.
And Lucille Ball

Conway and Burnett are in their comedy prime in these episodes. 😁
They had so many good skits on this show...the good old days.

The way he talks had me in tears 😂😂
I've seen this sketch a half dozen times since it first aired. Still 😁😅 😂 . Two greats.
This is when laughs were laughs, not filth.
Great
I don't mind a certain amount of filth in comedy.
But The Carol Burnett Show is still WAY funnier!

the expression she makes whenever she does math in her head KILLS me.

You're probably confusing network TV with cable TV. Name one network TV show now that allows cursing. You can't.
