I just order one from Newegg for $569 to upgrade my 3070TI. Which I paid $500 for it when I got it. Thank you for the video, I was abit worried about XFX brand.
Got the same exact card about a month ago. It was actually a slight upgrade in some areas, and a slight downgrade in others. I was originally using a 3080 ti but built my wife a PC and gave her the 3080 ti. Anyways, this specific 6950 xt is a really nice card and I am enjoying it. Like I said, it's an upgrade over a 3080 ti in some areas, especially for me since I was not running RT. For the price that you can get it at right now I think it is one of the best bang for the buck cards in the upper range. Add in long term AMD support (fine wine) and I think it is an excellent buy in the $650 range. 1:07 yeah it is large, I was prepared though as I already had a vertical mount set up for the original 3080 ti.
Picked 1 up last night. So far so good. Even though it's a long card, I had lots of room to spare in my corsair 5000x rgb case. Runs quieter than expected but it is hotter than my previous card. Nothing concerning or unusual for a card this powerful, just not used to it as I switched from an old gtx 1070. Make sure to peel off all the plastic wrap, front, back and top.
Just picked one up last Friday. It's a solid card, as in SOLID; built myself a LEGO stand to prevent sag. The card is pretty silent when idle, but any load will make the fans ramp up to try and cool the beast. Over 300w of heat has to go somewhere. That said, there is so far one specific game (Satisfactory) where the coil whine is unbearable. I could play a tune with the coil whine by just looking at different spots in the game. I've quieted it down a bit with a slight undervolt and changing settings so it uses under 300w. I wonder if my PSU is an issue; I run a Cooler Master V750 Gold V2, and it should be enough for my system. As I say, other games I've tried seem fine, but I still need to test more. It would suck having to get a new PSU (especially if that isn't the issue).
It's not small, it's not light It's not expensive It's not weak It's not ugly It's not low quality It's not a bad choice IT'S THE PERFECT CARD FOR GAMING
I've been looking at 6950 xt cause I might get one this month depending and this is the only model they have available pretty much anywhere unless I wanna pay extra premium. In any case this is in my opinion of the best looking gpu's out there
I just purchased this bad boy for $499.99 on AMZN during the *Prime Day* event. 🙌🏼🙏🏼👍🏼 I started out wanting to buy a decently priced RX 7900 GRE instead, but the RX 6950 XT is a better GPU, and even the cheapest GRE I could find (a dual fan model for $509.99 IIRC) was more than what I paid for my Merc. I'm happier than a gopher in soft sand. 😁😁😁
Hey man, nice video. I got a question. Because the GPU is quite large, did you use a bracket or brace to hold it so it doesn't sag, or was the GPU sagging without the brace or bracket? I'm thinking of buying this GPU, so I don't know if I should also buy a bracket or brace. Please reply. Thanks.
@@RGAMEPLAYS123 I think especially PowerColor and XFX cards have this issue but yeah, It seems like almost every GPU with coil whine is on AMD. It's disgusting such a premium product often have big flaws. I'd never keep a GPU with a noticeable coil whine and I'm going to buy the ASRock 6950 XT Phantom Gaming but idk if I should wait for the 7800 XT instead.
anyone know if you can change colour of lights on front are they rgb or just single colour leds. ive just upgraded from 3070ti tonight.its alot quieter than the 3070ti thats surpised me
I've personally not had this problem but looking at other reviews the coil whine can be because of your PSU. I'm currently using an 850W Seasonic Focus Gold and not had any issues.

Turn off the zero fan feature and it should keep temps down better without taking off

@@Pawcio2115mine had it but with undervolting and headphones its not that bad. You just gotta accept that amd cards 9/10 times has whine

Hey there, i‘ve been reading some reviews and 2 people said its really loud. Is that so?
I've personally not had this problem but looking at other reviews the coil whine can be because of your PSU. I'm currently using an 850W Seasonic Focus Gold and not had any issues.
Got mine last night, also no issues with volume. PSU is 1200W Thermaltake. Hopefully it stays that way.
its loud if you let fans ramp up.
manually set it you can make it silent.
Ist loud 😂
Could a Corsair RM850 80+GOLD work?
Yes that is a great PSU and 850W is absolutely fine for this GFX Card. Like I said in the last comment I'm currently using an 850W and have no issues.
Rm850x corsair work good ?
That's an A tier PSU. Of course.
Hey is it true that it uses 500 watt?
No.
its around 300w give or take depending on how you set it up
I set so it runs at 270w and silent
Yea with 110degree junction temp. No thank you
Bruh its 3090ti level for 600 brand new
Its the best deal rn
110 junction on stock fan curve that is under 50. If you allow the fans to spin up you won't see over 70 or 80
