1986 - Dick Fox's Golden Boys of Bandstand - Bobby Rydell, Frankie Avalon, and Fabian - on stage @ Wolf Trap with host Beverly Sills. Even today, 25 years after this performance, these guys have still got it. They're still rockin' and rollin', serenading to sold out crowds across the country, and still the swellest bunch of fine entertainers a person could ever hope to see.

I was only 7 when my brother and sister would play his records back in 1962. I loved them, My favorite is "The Cha-Cha-Cha" Bobby's in Heaven with all the other great singers and musicians.. God bless him. ✝✝☮☮

I remember trying to sound exactly like you, throughout my numerous Karoake singing contest nights. You were one of my male role models. Selling a million records back then was a much larger accomplishment than it is today, or even in 1986. This was an incredible song.
To sell that many records back then tells you one thing, The man had great talent! He didn't have social media like they have now.
He sold his records by going out, making LIVE performances and as many TV performances.

In the Chicago suburbs, he and James Darren appeared in the play "Wish You Were Here" when I was 16 and Bobby was only 21. I was so thrilled meeting two of my favorite teen idols after the play. So thrilled that I went back to see the play again. I still have the memorabilia they both signed. I will never forget that moment in time.

I believe its for two reasons. One, he is older and the breath is not there and two , maybe just to do it a little bit differently.
