This is the best video I have seen to date, so much detail showing male & female and egg laying. Very well done and thank you.

Best video of cricket breeding I've seen so far. Like the sections showing male and female differences and the females laying their eggs was great.
Question: How long do you leave the heating/lighting on for during the each stage.

Hi, loved your video. One question: what approximate distance between the top of the soil and the aluminum mesh? They’re not touching, right ?

So do you just keep adding more tubs? Or do you get enough tubs that you can just keep rotating them?

Jackie, Aloha from Hawaii.... if you bake soil or nuke it before you place in egg laying bin, you can possibly eliminate springtails from being in your dirt.

Well they eat the mold that tends to grow on the damp soil, so it's a good thing!

I try to raise cricket in my house (I'm from France :) ) and I'd like to make powder food to feed my crickets.
I tried to blend some dried fruit. What do you think ? Do you have some advices, a recipe to make powder food for crikets ?
I'd like to eat them :)
    Thanks you

I am having some trouble breeding crickets. I have a tub with about 50 crickets. A tub of moist soil is in the enclosure. There is a light fixture with an incandescent bulb in the enclosure to keep it warm. I have not seen a single cricket lay eggs in the soil, I’ve had it set up for about 5 days. When I turn the lightbulb all the way up to make it about 85° the crickets all hide inside the cardboard as if they don’t like the light. When i turn the light way down , the crickets begin moving around again but don’t lay eggs in the soil (maybe because it’s too cool at about 64°). If anybody could offer me advice I would greatly appreciate it.

17:29 Do the eggs drop through the mesh and down into the soil?

Cling wrap makes half of the eggs not hatch, don’t do that please, just put it in a tub heat the tub up to 90 degrees farenheight at all times and they’ll hatch next day, also 10 days is too long if your actually wanting them to successfully breed 3-4 days is good

Why are you using the boxes I buy at Bunnings for Crickets... I use them, DD:
Also, your egg laying box is a bit too big.
U just had to use the exact same water crystals I bought from Bunnings, Boxhill Bunnings.
Also, when you said "There is lots of babies moving around" 14:39, they are actually Springtails... with one baby before in the same tub.
Apart from that the video is excellent!

Where do you buy your Crickets? The box you bought with the Crickets in it looked weird. I haven't see a box like that before.
