@Electronic Workshop, I'm whether debating to buy this camera for £30 secondhand with the same problems would it be a good buy if I can get it working.
I put the battery in my FX1 without the handle/LCD/microphone plugged in and the left panel off, and it caused a short I'm assuming because it wont turn on now. Do you think replacing the power supply would fix that or does it sound like it's somewhere else?
@@ДжонТерстоун It has to be, I inspected all the boards and the only board when something wasn't plugged in was the power supply board, so the short had to occur there. And on ebay many people seem to be purchasing FX1 power supply baords, Im assuming other people came to the same conclusion.
i have same problem with same fuse f105, but after change for 32V 1,5A FX1 boot to VCR mode, but in camera mode same fuse f105 burn again. In service manual looks this fuse is for CAM5,1V for zoom servo IC controller, i dont know if is problem on DCtoDC convertor, or little sayno switches or in mainboard. Any solution for this?
i normally you my Variable Power and inject voltage after the fuse, i Limit the current, i monitor the current then feel around for something that gets hot, it you have a thermal camera, this would be a great help, ( i don't have one)
Wery nice expland thank you very much

TBH, I leave the blown fuses on the board and piggyback new fuses on top of them. I have a bag of good Sony 1.4 fuses, removed from scrap Sony boards.

Have you solved your problem? I have the same
