Suzi Quatro, Patti Quatro, Arlene Quatro, Nancy Quatro, Darline Arnone, Pam Benford.
Signed to Mercury Records in 1968, released as single, penned by grammy winning
writer Bob Stone. The song charted in several regions, perpetuating much momentum
for the band as they toured extensively. Featuring Darline Arnone on vocals (and second
band drummer lineup). Darline was the first girl to be sponsored by Slingerland Drums.
She was known for her technical abilities as a drummer, and often left jaws hanging at the
end of her 10 minute drum solos. In that era, though it was not the genre of music the
girls preferred, the band had to "play ball" with the record company before being allowed
to record their own music. Thus bands did the "staff writer" songs as singles.
