I have visited here on 31st December 2019 to visit Somnath temple🕌. After visiting I am going to Dwarka by bus🚍 I saw a street where there is born place of Dheru bai Ambani.
The western most railway station is not Somnath but it is Okha railway station on the tip of the Saurashtra peninsula and Bhuj station in Kutch peninsula. There was one more station Naliya in metre gauge now abandoned. The easternmost railwaystation of India was Lekhapani situated in east of Ledo station in Assam. Lekhapani station in metregauge famous for worldwar II where Japanese laid road all the way from SE asia to fight british. The southernmost railway station is Kanyakumari and northernmost railway station is Katra Ma vaishnodevi Railway station (recently laid and added. The MG line to Naliya from Bhuj was abandoned some 40 years ago and yet to be relaid as broadgauge. Another tip of IR in eastern part of India is Sabroom of Tripura near Bangaladesh border and nother tip of IR in eastern part of India is Bairabi in Mizoram and Line to Sairang of Mizoram interior state is fast under progress but with opposition from some useless local fighting groups. Mail takes more time than superfast.........many times mail express trains are put on side line and superfast trains are given priority to pass from the main line

Same concept is there at Howrah and Sealdah. But they follow a different concept the shunting loco which brings the train at platform it remains there after decoupling. Another loco is attached to the other end to pull the train.
