Very sad news here. We lost a music icon. Millions of fans are devastated right now.
If you're a fan or listener of country music, you know all about Toby Keith. His songs are well known to so many. The three that stand out for me are "Should've been a Cowboy", "Red Solo Cup", and "How Do You Like Me Now?" The third one listed is one that I remember as the first Toby Keith song I ever listened to as a kid. He also wrote so many memorable ones in his long and historic career. A lot of them reached the top of the Billboard charts.
He also collaborated with so many country stars i.e. Blake Shelton, Trace Adkins, Miranda Lambert, and Eric Church. Those collaborations were some of the best.
I remember seeing Toby perform at CMA Fest when I lived in Nashville a few years back. His performances were awesome. The whole crowd loved him.
Toby leaves a legacy we will most certainly never forget.

As a rock/metal listener for most of the last 50 years, I didn’t know of Toby until maybe 15 years ago while in a bar passing through Oklahoma. I was blown away at the purity of his work… No blazing guitar licks or vocal tricks. Just a smooth honest song.

I listened to Tobey's music when i was a little kid. He was a country music legend. My favorite song from Tobey was Red Solo Cup. My teacher from elementary school showed me that song. Tobey, you have been with me for as long as i can remember. It's terrible to lose a country music legend so early this year. I went singing Toby Keith about a long time ago at the Houston lab talking rodeo me my son and we ended up sharing a three bedroom trailer and he passed away now Toby in heaven with my parents I know it’s hard on the Keith family and and his family and his wifeI will pray for them every time I pray I pray for them😢
