wow i cant believe this is still out there lol, blast from the past man back when mp3s could only hold like 60 songs this shit was on there. thank you lol
@Chase Schwinn IDK aparently a higher place had the best rating? I guess that means it sold the most? Even though it's probably the least hyped/talked about... If you counted how many "parts" on average every song has, a higher place would have the most. They switched up to a more structured settlement for sure. Maybe it has to do with the stronger emotions and feelings of when you are young because the songs did have much more heart and soul in that album. All the others are hard af and focus on a single structure or two. It could be though, that a higher place has a entirely different recording process/production than all the others. Like eternal reign, i love it but im not a fan. The new reign still sounds better and harder. If anything they should have re recorded a higher place since it does lack in sound quality compared to the others
Over the couple years since I've heard this band, they've open my mind to so much. This band is fucking monstrously talented. And that tapping solo. Fucking tasty.
I know this was re-worked into "Exist" later on "A Higher Place," but I would REALLY love to hear a re-recording of this in it's original structure with everything as it is here. Maybe with new vocals or just instrumental, either would be awesome I think
@GameKid98 No, this song, and the other song (posted by my friend entitled 'July 4th/Last Supper') are older songs, with Last Supper being from Your Heart Engraved and I believe Glass Bluntz was recorded around that era. These two were released together on a rare version of The New Reign.
@abigpoopy Their new stuff seems to be more simple and slightly more brutal, as opposed to their older stuff, being more complex and artistic which I love.
@sipinflames I agree completely. Born of Osiris has gone through more than just Lee and Jason, and they've ALWAYS sounded good. I know they wont hold back on the next album, and I cant wait for it.
@abigpoopy. The discovery is theiir masterpiece. theres no question.. They have gotten steadily better right from the first album. Even if you forget about the rest of the amazing songs, when you listen to the last 2 songs on the discovery, XIV then behold, yoou can hear the scope of their creative growth in just that. Its total musical genius with perfect composition, syncopation, fluidity, complexity, arrangement, instrumentation, timing and beauty...They are metal masters
I just bough the latest CD hopping i didn't do a mistake not knowing who they were at all.Usualy im more about alternative rock..But this i found interesting.
Been listening to them since they were 'YourHeartEngraved'. Your point? On the other side, I just listened to Ovid's Withering for the first time in January. When they've been the light of everyone's thea/tech metal lives for like a year and a half now. All comes down to luck, how we hear of these bands.
I'm actually like that with a lot of stuff. This, I prefer over Exist in all but its recording quality. But then there is other things, like their Youm Wara Youm to Rosecrance transition that I actually heavily prefer the new, rerecorded Rosecrance stuff.
@TheJuliano222 I disagree. If you listen to how their music has progressed, it all works into their sound. Especially 'The Discovery', their music resembles the 'other parts' a hell of alot more now, but even back on the Rosecrance EP and some of Youm Wara Youm.
@Jonwittuk I totally agree, I absolutely adore their first album, their second album I was like, ehh its okay but it sounds a lot like other progressive tech metal acts, then The Discovery came out and I was fucking blown off the planet, it was easily my favorite album of the year. But I agree with the atmosphere thing, I hope they go back to the "Born of Osiris" feel and keep experimenting with Eastern progressions for that "Egyptian" feel.
@abigpoopy Automatic motion is their best song ever. So SICK. both of thier first albums were good, i liked the new reign better but the discovery took everything that was good from both cds and made every song on that album great.
@druminggood I'm pretty sure it's because he didn't smoke pot. The rest of the band use weed a lot and I think he was the only one that didn't, and he decided to confront the band and they kicked him or something, I could be wrong though, a friend told me that.
Give them a break man " Getting high " isnt bad and does not make you less than anything just a stigma. Remember live life and enjoy as many drugs as your body can withstand or not your choice.
@abigpoopy I dont know, I disagree. I feel they've changed, yes, but their new stuff is insane, really good stuff. But I do think this song had more atmosphere than any of their new songs.
I agree. The music is the reason I posted this video, and while I will swiftly denounce the feeling of superiority over drug users, I would much rather speak about the music itself.
"My girlfriend likes it when I play guitar while she plays COD, and sometimes we do so whilst under the influence of things." - Misha Mansoor. You can see this on the description of their song Erised on the Sumerian Records page.
@Jonwittuk yeah my account got fucked up and I couldn't response that I just realized it's obviously boo. xD well I prefer their instrumental work on the "Youm Wara Youm" material, which I'm gonna send you :P
wow i cant believe this is still out there lol, blast from the past man back when mp3s could only hold like 60 songs this shit was on there. thank you lol
I love how this still has a free, jam type feel to it. It doesn't seem too planned.
2021 this shoulda been the soooonnnggg
This became exist on a higher place lmao
@@evelyneverlasting9038 I know that. The melodic part is the best tho why did they take that out?
@Chase Schwinn IDK aparently a higher place had the best rating? I guess that means it sold the most? Even though it's probably the least hyped/talked about...

I listen to this every morning
Over the couple years since I've heard this band, they've open my mind to so much. This band is fucking monstrously talented. And that tapping solo. Fucking tasty.

I have seen this band live like 3 times shit never gets old also Haha dazed and confused lol
Congrats! I'm really impressed. You must be a really cool guy! Wow I want to grow up to be just like you!
That's sick. :o Glad to see a long term true fan. I only started liking these guys this year but im inlove. Haha
This is fucking majestic 🤘❤️
@xsoxx just go to "youtube to mp3" copy the link on the youtube video of the song you want. paste it, convert it, download it.
New Reign will always be my favorite album artwork, so sick!
@GameKid98 No, this song, and the other song (posted by my friend entitled 'July 4th/Last Supper') are older songs, with Last Supper being from Your Heart Engraved

incredible instrumental
I remember for the longest time this was so hard to find.
1:27 is just so freaking beautiful
who thinks they should re-record the song like this?
YESSSSS
Periphery had a jar at the merch table during this year's summer slaughter that said "Help Buy Us Drugs! :D"
The bass drop is wild.
just like how im addicted to listening to Born of Osiris
Great!!
'this is thee most acid ive ever seen anybody eat in my life' haha wow
This song rocks
Indeed!
im here for both :D
@abigpoopy Their new stuff seems to be more simple and slightly more brutal, as opposed to their older stuff, being more complex and artistic which I love.
@mysteriousDSF no, it's not BoO. It's Yourheartengraved, which was pre-Rosecrance, which was pre-Born of Osiris.
@Jonwittuk cheeeaaaaa!!!!! that shit go hard!!!!!
Badass!!!
@sipinflames I agree completely. Born of Osiris has gone through more than just Lee and Jason, and they've ALWAYS sounded good.
I know they wont hold back on the next album, and I cant wait for it.
@mysteriousDSF And you have seen the light, dear soul. Welcome to BoO's best instrumental song ever. xD
0:57 to 1:25. Fuck yeah
@abigpoopy. The discovery is theiir masterpiece. theres no question.. They have gotten steadily better right from the first album. so this is 'exist' basically right?
Marc Taylor 👍
Nope. Doesnt exist. Trust me. Dont look
@HIM4200 pffff yea right. so i can get some cheapo converted flv file? im lookin for the actual song or album the song is on.
@sipinflames I'm sure this has been pointed out before now as well, but if Lee is going to RECREATE his writing, will he also REDESIGN it?
@polarelite This song was, actually, re-written into Exist.
IIIIII have seen the light
that and other statements from the band, yes, it's a pretty good reason.
Sick
I love the soundbytes from Dazed and Confused
I just bough the latest CD hopping i didn't do a mistake not knowing who they were at all.Usualy im more about alternative rock..But this i found interesting.
this is awesome, plaease send me a link to download this, i need to be able to jam this in my car hah
i've never used a glass blunt actually but i hear they're pretty nice
Been listening to them since they were 'YourHeartEngraved'. Your point?

Glass Bluntz are the shiznit
this is better than exist
@TheJuliano222 I disagree. If you listen to how their music has progressed, it all works into their sound. Especially 'The Discovery', their music resembles the 'other parts' a hell of alot more now, but even back on the Rosecrance EP and some of Youm Wara Youm.
@MrIlikecheetos No, its a very rare older song from them. A loooong time ago.
Awesome song I laughed so hard though becuase i never expected something like this from BOO when they were this young
People, just so you know. You can use youtubemp3 converter to download this song.
@Jonwittuk I totally agree, I absolutely adore their first album, their second album I was like, ehh its okay but it sounds a lot like other progressive tech metal acts, then The Discovery came out and I was fucking blown off the planet, it was easily my favorite album of the year.
But I agree with the atmosphere thing, I hope they go back to the "Born of Osiris" feel and keep experimenting with Eastern progressions for that "Egyptian" feel.
fucks me up even more that he's talking to a dead person all these years later. time. mafucka
@abigpoopy Automatic motion is their best song ever. So SICK. both of thier first albums were good, i liked the new reign better but the discovery took everything that was good from both cds and made every song on that album great.

im likin the parts put in from cheech and chongs up in smoke. and dazed and confused. songs dope as fuckkkk
@MrIlikecheetos This was way before Jason even knew they existed haha. I think this was written before Jason even was with ASP.
Holy Shit...
Yeah, isn't this part of their first Demo? That whole fucking CD is Godly.
i find that a lot of the time i like a bands demos and pre pro better than their actually album. just seems more raw and real i guess.
FROM LIKE 0:56 U CAN HEAR PEICES OF THE INTRO OF SIGHTS AND SOUNDS AND OPEN ARMS
@cavvogel That was the point. No one had it up, so I did a service to the whole community.
does anyone have the tabs or anything for this? or know where I can find em?
Is there any guitar tabs for this song?
Give them a break man " Getting high " isnt bad and does not make you less than anything just a stigma. Remember live life and enjoy as many drugs as your body can withstand or not your choice.
Dazed and confused!!
My ears are pregnant.....
Jared Avery I'm pregnant
the guitar sound is insane. the super low chuggy 8 bit sounds.
@abigpoopy I dont know, I disagree. I feel they've changed, yes, but their new stuff is insane, really good stuff.
But I do think this song had more atmosphere than any of their new songs.
RINGS OF SATURN
hey where can i find this at?
ive been on a mad hunt to find this mp3, can you please tell me where you got it?
0:55 beautiful
HOLY FUCK THIS IS AWESOME
I agree. The music is the reason I posted this video, and while I will swiftly denounce the feeling of superiority over drug users, I would much rather speak about the music itself.
@abigpoopy I didn't like the second album as much as the third one. The first one, though. Forget about it. It was amazing!
@XanderPlague just watch their cribs video. Search Born of Osiris Cribs
Was tommy chong in this lol
jake johnakin nah deathcore guys are just notorious for being smacked all the time😂
Tyreek Murillo Nah dude listen. You can hear a line from Up in Smoke
With like a space rocket?
they may not anymore since they are all in their 40s and older... but there was definetely alot of psychedelic use early on...
they do
"My girlfriend likes it when I play guitar while she plays COD, and sometimes we do so whilst under the influence of things." - Misha Mansoor.

@Jonwittuk yeah my account got fucked up and I couldn't response that I just realized it's obviously boo. xD well I prefer their instrumental work on the "Youm Wara Youm" material, which I'm gonna send you :P
