2017 and this album still remains one of my all time favorites, I could honestly consider this a Jason Richardson (feat Born of Osiris) album by how much it stands out from the other BOO albums.
They do the guitar effect at 4:45 by using a technique called string skipping, allowing Jason to hit various tones withing the arpeggios of the chords the bands is playing underneath his kickass melodies. Also I find the part at 4:15 to be pretty badass too, feels like your falling into a nightmare.
And people say this band isnt technical (not that I personally give a fuck about whether its technical or not this song kicks ass) EVEN SAYING THIS BAND ISNT METAL FFS. This is a metal song... Like NOONE is going to convince me otherwise. But this song seriously gives me the same vibes as Necrophagist But unlike Necro more in the vein of Obscura I actually find myself emotionally tugged and enjoying this like crazy... 10/10
hehehe, one thing is for sure.. in 16 jears of guitar playing, i see that jason can play every technic of all the guitarheros i knew so far. nobody give a crap about the rest i think..
I can see how some won't understand or like this type of music but my God, the brain melting awesomeness is almost too much to take. This song is f**king insane!
I did forget how good this album was. Production is excellent and obviously super heavy with good melody. It is kinda funny that after this album I wasn't a big fan of the albums being put out. And I honestly didn't even know who Jason was at the time or that he left the band lol but major difference in sound and quality.
All BOO is awesome. The progression and evolution of their style is very clear to be heard and it is all BOO just the same. Within the genre they have their own unique sound and that still remains.
i got to give Llee Mckinney a hug when ever AA was playing at a show and i didn't know how to take it i was like,i love u,looked at him and walked away :p thay are all around my fav band ever :) love u guys
It's ridiculous that he's sweeping string skipping, and using pinch harmonics the entire time while still creating a melody. My mind has officially blown to pieces, my hands cannot conceive such greatness.
I honestly dont understand how they arent recognized as the best band in the world, sure they scream and alot of people dont dig that but ive honestly never heard 6 people with the mindset and skill level be able to create something like this.
there is some high-level shreddage going on don't get me wrong but the outro solo is something else. as a 7/8 string dude playing for 10 years now I still need months of intense practice to get it even 80/85% tempo....this is some fucked up shit Lee could never play in his life. but there videos of Jason ripping through the whole song all over youtube...hes monstrous
Granted this was 4 years ago, Jason did fulfill your wish - he did XIV/Behold live at NAMM - search it up, amazing. I came here from that video...like shit I need to hear the version on record.
Showed this song to my concert band teacher. He liked it more than I thought he would. Didn't mind Ronnie's vocals and even complimented the drummer! :D
If somebody is listening to and looking at the lyrics and doesn't even know that this is talking about our Earth and our people. Then I don't even know what to say.
really? i know but still.. it's pretty broad in terms.. it could mean any number of things... lol but i get you.. it's still pretty easy to tell what the lyrics are about.
This song, and the entire concept of this album is completely based on around humans losing control of AI, But also blending ourselves within it and losing what makes us human. it’s fucking wild.
He was stating that most of all metal fans are musicians. It doesn't matter if you play one specific genre. I play guitar, drums, bass, vocals, and piano. I play every genre that's not on the "Pop"or "Country" radio stations. Metal, Classical, Classic Rock, and Jazz.
mathewpunk2011 Im highly educated in the ways of music, unlike some of my a7x fan comrades, kingplutoxiao1 Indeed, Jason helped Lee with his playing a lot.
Roman Crown imo chelsea grins new album isnt very good. Their old stuff is much better. Its weird because the Evolve EP was pretty freaking good, dont as dont tell is my fav song by them
Honestly, Cameron has become one of my top drummers EVER in a matter of months. This shit this guy writes, I can't even begin to decode, it took me three days to get the first verse of Recreate down smooth. His control, whether it be the opening fill of this song, or the even the bad-ass singled out ~120BPM double bass that comes twice at the end of Follow The Signs, is simply ridiculous.
The ending section of this song brings a little baby laying in a crib all alone outside watching galaxies collide and the planet earth is collapsing slowly into a black hole.... and the only thing left at the very end is this poor little baby listening to the End of the universe lullaby.
i still fail to understand why this song is so undermined it may be the most most technical song on the album and offers much more than Follow the Signs or Recreate.
how im wrong? uve just agreed with me dude. what im trying to say is that people who dont play instruments cant enjoy metal to the extent that we can it doesnt matter if you play blues, jazz, classical you may not like it, which is fine, but if you are a true musician you will acknowledge the skill involved with it which you have. as for this song yes the guitars are layered alot and dont necceserally go together. but thats what guys like me love, the weird, off time and incredibly hard riffs.
At 5.00 you think that you becoming a god or something.... Maybe the best BOO song along with devastate and regenerate....... And Shaping the masterpiece OFC.
i think this band and periphery is one of the best bands of the year because Mish Mansoor helped born of osiris with creating their music if you listen to periphery you can tell the same work in both of the bands
lol dude most metal fans are metal fans because theyre musicians, thats what makes it so special. because most people cant understand it but we can. asking if anyone plays guitar on a metal vid is like asking if anyones gay on a pop vid :)... but that solo is fucking epic... stay metal bro
lee is amazing, he's just in an awkward position now that jason was fired. other than that, he's an excellent guitarist but Jason will always top lee. Jason by far is the best guitarist I have ever listened to.
182guns That's a fair point, they really need to find another guitarist, especially now that they're apparently recording again. I would like something on the level of The Discovery.
As well as the fact that this song is played on a 7 string, of which a small minority of us players own! But you are right, i've been playing for 11 years and that lick is extremely complicated.
"You can know the name of a bird in all the languages of the world, but when you're finished, you'll know absolutely nothing whatever about the bird... So let's look at the bird and see what it's doing -- that's what counts. I learned very early the difference between knowing the name of something and knowing something." -Richard Feynman
I'm really starting to believe this is the greatest metal album of all time.
It's definitely one of them.
What about the masterpiece of an album ”Fiction” by Dark Tranquility? Have you heard it?☺️
@@biologiskt no one has, now gtfo with that weak shit
Its top 100 for sure
Still is, I literally listen to it at least once a month.
You can tell both vocalist were trying to keep up on this masterpiece Jason Richardson wrote.
this whole track is just one massive solo \m/
Every single song off this album is nothing less of amazing.
Those drums keeping it together so hard.
2017 and this album still remains one of my all time favorites, I could honestly consider this a Jason Richardson (feat Born of Osiris) album by how much it stands out from the other BOO albums.
True, anything after was them trying to replicate this, and they all fell short
They do the guitar effect at 4:45 by using a technique called string skipping, allowing Jason to hit various tones withing the arpeggios of the chords the bands is playing underneath his kickass melodies. Also I find the part at 4:15 to be pretty badass too, feels like your falling into a nightmare.
around the end when its playing that sound box or whatever kinda sounds like the end of a horror movie.
Jack Badger it's called Glockspiel... sort of Xylophone
***** this song and xiv are all composed by jason. guitar, drums, keyboard, bass were all recorded/programmed by him
And people say this band isnt technical (not that I personally give a fuck about whether its technical or not this song kicks ass) EVEN SAYING THIS BAND ISNT METAL FFS. This is a metal song... Like NOONE is going to convince me otherwise.
But this song seriously gives me the same vibes as Necrophagist But unlike Necro more in the vein of Obscura I actually find myself emotionally tugged and enjoying this like crazy...

GOD I cannot even begin to describe what flows through my imagination as I listen to this.
This is one of the greatest songs ever made.
Strange that my peak in life came at the same time as BOO's. I'll always have a special place for this absolute banger.
That’s really sad! Life can get better man
this song is amazing! the crazy time signatures, perfect 7 string guitar. Bass-man all over the place. what more could you ask for....EXTINCTION
I can see how some won't understand or like this type of music but my God, the brain melting awesomeness is almost too much to take. This song is f**king insane!

this shouldnt be called music, it should be called a masterpiece!
this is by far just the most well put together song ever. IS THIS A MIRACLE OR IMAGINATION, YOUR INVENTION OR DESTRUCTION!
An absolute metal masterpiece. The entire song is a solo. Just listened all their first album, Reign is metal djent madness. This is perfection.
@Hellrais3r my fav album from them!
With all those albums on the screen, Sumerian was at their peak no cap
absolutely the best song released this year so far
Yeah,time flies so fast
This song is, simply put, a masterpiece.
I absolutely love the delivery of the line "The refugees have deserted the city". I raise a fist of power to that line every time.
awesome guitar riffs. awesome song and band.
Mind blown at 4:45. WTF?!!
that's the beauty of BoO!
@@asdasd_94 Wow! Share more videos man
That solo is the purest cocaine
Don't you mean it's the dankest bud in the world?
Like it's up there with Willie Nelson's bud.
@@marijuanaknowsomething6743 XD
I can smell the gasoline
song has 3 different solos tho, each of them is a different type of drug.
Yooooooooo why is this comment so accurate.....lolol
my favorite boo song. three breakdowns in one song?!?!?!?! still amazed. lol.
the bassist is so amazing...he just grounds the whole band....they are all great, but that bass!
All BOO is awesome. The progression and evolution of their style is very clear to be heard and it is all BOO just the same. Within the genre they have their own unique sound and that still remains.
The intro to this will always be my favorite thing ever.
i got to give Llee Mckinney a hug when ever AA was playing at a show and i didn't know how to take it i was like,i love u,looked at him and walked away :p thay are all around my fav band ever :) love u guys
So beautiful. One of the best BOO songs ever.
this whole record instrumentally and lyrically is like Evangelion. Every time I listen front to back and reread lyrics, I am always in question.
best song by born of osiris ever.
WHAT A GRAND WAY TO END AN AMAZING ALBUM!!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
0:37 It's just too beautiful
you are so awesome. you are my hero, god bless you and ok
they will never play this song live!!
Because of their guitarist
there is some high-level shreddage going on don't get me wrong but the outro solo is something else. as a 7/8 string dude playing for 10 years now I still need months of intense practice to get it even 80/85% tempo....this is some fucked up shit Lee could never play in his life. but there videos of Jason ripping through the whole song all over youtube...hes monstrous

FUCK THIS BAND, They’re NOTHING without Jason!
Jason played this at Namm
Showed this song to my concert band teacher. He liked it more than I thought he would. Didn't mind Ronnie's vocals and even complimented the drummer! :D
don't know how they will ever beat the end to this album
No one will ever beat the end to this album. As a matter of fact, no one will ever beat this album.
Every instrument in this song is extravigantly played, very elementry indeed, they make my front straw leak tears of children :D
The Discovery is legendary, what a great way to cap off an album
If somebody is listening to and looking at the lyrics and doesn't even know that this is talking about our Earth and our people. Then I don't even know what to say.
haha well done mate
really? i know but still.. it's pretty broad in terms.. it could mean any number of things... lol but i get you.. it's still pretty easy to tell what the lyrics are about.

Underrated!!!!! Good song!!!
This song is a fucking masterpiece.
What the fuck were BoO thinkig when they kicked out Jason?
Chelsea grin doesnt do him justice.
Hmm, such a nice comment for an A7X fan
Jason + Lee made this album a masterpiece.
mathewpunk2011
Im highly educated in the ways of music, unlike some of my a7x fan comrades,

Indeed, Jason helped Lee with his playing a lot.
GetScaredGaming i don't know, but for sure since then i've started listening to chelsea grin XD
Roman Crown
imo chelsea grins new album isnt very good. Their old stuff is much better.
Its weird because the Evolve EP was pretty freaking good, dont as dont tell is my fav song by them
BOO is the evolved version of all deathcore bands accumulated with an extra touch of awesomeness
If I were ever a boss character in a videogame i'd want this as my battle BGM!
At the time this was released, it was the greatest metal music ever created.
OMG this is so great!!! Endless source of inspiration for my violin!!!!
I LOVE THIS COMPANY
CANT... STOP... LISTENING!
this is my favorite song of the album.
getting a full band was the best thing they ever did :)
ive never heard soo much good guitar.. like.. this is 100% godly! i just fell in love again!
This album is a masterpiece
TRuly incredible!
Yes!
Sumerian uploading full songs?
BORGORE!
Can't wait to see this album live, I can't believe they got all of this mastered and written in 2 years!
What an awesome song!!

forever loving born of osiris
So many things happen in my head when I listen to this.
I'm in pure shock right now.....
The ending section of this song brings a little baby laying in a crib all alone outside watching galaxies collide and the planet earth is collapsing slowly into a black hole.... and the only thing left at the very end is this poor little baby listening to the End of the universe lullaby.

This whole song is something to behold
Sick solo's in this song!
When this song is not a proof how genius Cameron is, then i don't know...
@architectofwar i totally agree with you on regenerate that song hits everything
Jesus finally another band that I will listen to. Can now mix this with Meshuggah rotation.
i think this is my favorite song from this album
how im wrong? uve just agreed with me dude. what im trying to say is that people who dont play instruments cant enjoy metal to the extent that we can it doesnt matter if you play blues, jazz, classical you may not like it, which is fine, but if you are a true musician you will acknowledge the skill involved with it which you have. as for this song yes the guitars are layered alot and dont necceserally go together. but thats what guys like me love, the weird, off time and incredibly hard riffs.

Chills everytime.
Best song on the album

Everyone is talking about Jason, but give Lee some appreciation, Lee is a spectacular guitarist.

The greatest metal song.

Lmao

This era of the band goes harder than any other deathcore band and their music takes more talent.
Yeah, this band was incredible.
